José Parish in Austin. There will be a prayer vigil after Mass at the

Clerical Endowment Fund (C. E. F.)Prayer Cards: Available in the Parish Of( ce for a donation of

$2.00 or $5.00. Perpetual Certi( cates are also available. These en-

rollments make excellent gifts for many occasions. Proceeds from

these donations are used to educate Seminarians in the Diocese. The

Fund is also used to make low interest loans to parishes for building

programs. This has been a project of the Austin Diocesan Council

of Catholic Women since 1948.

Discovering Your True Self, Detaching From Your False Self: May 23, 2018

Discovering Your True Self, Detaching from Your False Self retreat will be offered at Cedar-

brake Retreat Center from 9:00am to 2:30pm on May 23rd. The retreat is based on the book

by Rev. Richard Rohr, “The Immortal Diamond.” Deep within us is the true self; however, it

has been hidden by who or what we think we should be. We will spend the day identifying

the false image we hold on to as we ask the Lord to show us the beauty of our true selves.

Beverly Collin, assistant director of Cedarbrake, will present this day. The cost is $40.00 and

includes lunch.

April 29-Fifth Sunday of Easter:In the Gospel today, Jesus says “Whoever

remains in me and I in him will bear much

fruit, because without me you can do noth-

ing.” Indeed, by helping the poor we can “bear

much fruit” and we # nd that with Jesus we

can do everything.
