RESPONSIBILITY: I ASSIST WITH SETTING UP FOR OPEN HOUSE.

• 6 DAYS PRIOR TO OPEN HOUSE: REVIEW OPEN HOUSE, PLACE METRO MIKE OPEN HOUSE SIGN IN YARD. PREVIEW ALL SURROUNDING ACTIVE LISTINGS

• OPEN HOUSE DAY: PLACE METRO MIKE DIRECTIONAL SIGNS WITH BALLOONS IN NEIGHBORHOOD TO DIRECT VISITORS TO HOUSE. TURN ON LAMPS, OPEN WINDOW TREATMENTS, AND SWEEP FRONT PORCH AREA.

• AFTER THE OPEN HOUSE: REPLACE NAME RIDER AND FLYERS WITH LISTING AGENT INFORMATION. COLLECT SIGNS AND BALLOONS. TURN OFF LAMPS, RESTORE HOUSE TO PRE‐OPEN HOUSE CONDITION. ADD PROSPECTS TO YOUR DATABASE, INCLUDING REALTORS. REGISTER VISITORS IN THE OPEN HOUSE POOL ON METRO NET. FOLLOW‐UP WITH VISITORS.

Open House Checklist

6 Days Prior to Open House

o Preview Open House, place Metro Mike Open House sign in yard.

o Preview all surrounding active listings. Prepare CMA for your own

information.

o Place door hangers on nearby properties. ‐ o Prepare handouts (i.e.

home flyer, seller’s disclosure, community information, etc).

o Think about refreshments, if you choose.

Open House Day

o Place Metro Mike directional signs with balloons in neighborhood to direct visitors to house. o

Turn on lamps, open window treatments, and sweep front porch area. o If vacant, bring table and chairs.

o Prepare a display area with information and tabletop sign. Replace listing agent’s flyers with your

flyers. o Add your name rider and add $1,000 rider (if hosting a Super Sunday open house).

After the Open House

o Replace name rider and flyers with listing agent information.

o Collect signs and balloons. Turn off lamps, restore house to pre Open House condition. ‐ o Thank

the property owner that “allowed” you to place the sign on his/her property. o If vacant or

property owner is not there, make sure to lock all doors. o Complete the Open House Survey.

o Add prospects to your database, including Realtors. o Register visitors in the Open House Pool

on MetroNet. o Follow up with ‐ visitors.
