Andy S. Albright

Hello Alliance family! You have probably heard me mention how important it

is for successful people to go on 90-day runs where they consistently work strictly on the things they know will make them successful. Why do so many “experts” think these 90-day runs are an ideal amount of time for people to perform at a high level? Well, it is about the perfect range where ambition, planning and action fall together and allow a person to get solid results. We are asking our SEAL Team 20 members to challenge themselves to go on a 90-day Madman cycle in 2017. Those who do this successfully will be rewarded with recognition and special treatment that others will not have access to. Setting annual or even five-year goals is admirable, but most people perform and operate better when they are pushing for a shorter timeframe. You can probably do a lot more than you realize in the next 90 days and probably a lot less than you think you can in the next five years. I know it sounds crazy,

When you have a clear why, the how part becomes simple. Work to identify a clear vision for yourself over the next 90 days and get after it like your hair is on fire. When the 90 days ends, let me know how you did. I want to know where you end up from where you started when you started your 90-day run. Guys, 2017 is wide open and we are rolling right along. As you read this issue of our magazine, I hope you will notice the names and faces of our SEAL Team 20 and Good Samaritan Bonus recipients. Many of them started making their 90-day run as 2016 wrapped up and they kept the momentum going in 2017 without stopping. Please enjoy this issue and I look forward to seeing you around the country soon. The Alliance started off 2017 strong, and I think we are setting things up to have one of our best years since we started in 2002. I wish you all the best!

but it has been proven time and time again. I encourage you to set down this week and define your goals for the next 90 days. Most people don’t make progress on a goal because they have not clearly defined it properly. When you know exactly what you need to do, then you are more likely to take the action needed to complete your goal. What would you do for 90 days if you knew you couldn’t fail? If people believed in their abilities more, they would get more done and be more successful. The lack of action paralyzes too many people and holds them back from doing the very thing they know they need to do. For many of you, that means making dials and meeting with people. Those tasks are not impossible, but so many people can’t defeat the phone to make the meeting happen.

6 ALBRIGHT EXCERPT:

ABCDE METHODnow available at

www.shopatnaa.com

Every single day we all make decisions that impact the direction of our lives. These decisions control your life and affect what happens in the time you are on earth. The

important thing to know about our decisions is that we get to make choices about what we do. We can make bad or good decisions and choices. One way to make sure the choices you are making help you get where you want to be is by using the ABCDE method. When you think about your schedule on a daily or weekly basis, you have to categorize your tasks so you can focus on important work that is most beneficial to you. What does each letter stand for in the ABCDE method?A tasks: An A task is important and these things need to get done. You want to spend as much time as possible working on A tasks. B tasks: B tasks are items that you should do. These are not quite as important as A tasks, but they are still things you want to get done. C tasks: C tasks are things that would be nice to get done or do. You don’t have to do these things, but you still would like to complete these items. D tasks: D items are things that you shouldn’t do, but you still need done. You want to find people you can delegate to do these tasks for you. You delegate these items so you can work in other areas. E tasks: E work needs to be eliminated from your schedule.

When you can spend the majority of your time working on A and B tasks, you are putting yourself in a better position to win. If person’s words line up with their actions, you will see pretty fast that this person is serious about what they are doing in life.Once you get your goals figured out then you can start planning out your days and your time in an effort to make those things happen. Most people get stuck operating out of urgency instead of working on important things. Make an effort to focus on doing the important things before they become urgent. Think about the consequences of what you are doing and how it will impact you in the future.Work on your “A” tasks before you even think about doing a “B” or a “C.” Can you work to find things that can be delegated or eliminated so that you can focus only on the important tasks that fall in the “A” category?Success is working on important tasks. You are free to pick what you do. That decision determines everything. For the rest of your life start thinking about the most impactful thing you can do now.

After that, think of the second most impactful thing you can do. Think about what you “don’t” need to do and avoid doing that.

The following is taken from Andy’s latest audio CD “The ABCDE Method,” which is available in The Alliance Store.

7No person in their right mind would waste energy, emotion,

effort, time, money and resources to build a business if they didn’t think it would last for years and years. Time,

effort and money are some of the most valuable things a person has, so if you are going to spend those resources then you want to be successful and see a return on your investment. In the financial industry, most people don’t think about building. They think of it as a sales job where you make a sale and get a commission … a very nice commission. This is a very transactional way to think about what we do, and it’s not the correct way to think about it when you are looking to build a team. It’s fine to know all about the products, commissions, etc., but it’s more important to know how to recruit and build a business. Yes, you can make a great living by selling products. However, you can only make so many sales on your own pen. Building is where you can really take the income lid off and make massive amounts of money. Why is it that people don’t understand that concept? The highest paid people in the world are paid for getting other people to “move” or make sales. These people are builders, yet most people don’t see the potential of recruiting others to make sales with them. Yes, it’s true you do not make a dime when you recruit a new person. However, once a recruit makes sales then the commission checks start coming in. Getting people to make sales is awesome, but recruiting new people and training them to make sales is just as important in being successful. One key when you are looking to build a strong team is to work

hard to establish great relationships from the beginning. There will be times when this is painful because they ask frustrating questions or they are whining about why they aren’t closing sales, but you must work with your team to help them get past the whining so you all can start winning. When you talk on the phone or meet with a teammate in person, you must have clear objectives. Take the time to help them with goal setting and even making their own recruiting dials. Most new recruits get out of the gate slowly, so anything you can do to speed up their progress is only going to increase the likelihood of them sticking with you. The faster an agent gets paid, the more likely they will take your advice and follow the system that’s in place. The return on your time will surprise you. Anybody can make sales occasionally, but building takes more work and effort. The problem with recruiting a team is that it is hard and you will likely have a negative experience at some point. People will quit, never do anything or just bother you in general. The flip side is sales where everything is positive. Thinking about the immediate commission of selling often outweighs the long-term potential of recruiting or building a team for the long haul.

The preceding is a sampling of a chapter from Andy’s new book “Inside The Circle,” which will be released this summer. The following is from a chapter titled, Building IS The Ultimate. Look for more news about how you can purchase Andy’s book soon or check www.ShopAtNAA.com in the future.

The Alliance believes strongly in “making a difference” in the lives of others by supporting various charities and non-profit organizations. One way we do that is through

the Good Samaritan Bonus program, which allows agents to earn money for their favorite charity each month via personal production and direct recruiting. When an agent wins a GSB check, they receive an email asking them to let us know what charity they would like to donate money to and that information is used to produce a GSB packet that is mailed to the agent so that they can mail or hand deliver the check to the charity. The packet includes a letter from The Alliance’s President and CEO Andy Albright for the agent, and a commemorative certificate that can be displayed at our weekly HotSpot meetings. There is also a pre-addressed envelope for the charity that contains a live check

for the charity, a letter from Albright to the charity and a return envelope and form that can be filled out and sent back to us by the charity to use on www.GoodSamaritanBonus.com. We also ask agents who deliver the checks in person to submit photos to us so that we can place it on the site as well.We want all our GSB winners to feel special and producing this packet is one way we can say thanks for helping serve the team by protecting families across the United States consistently. The Alliance encourages you to discuss our GSB program with your team and to talk about it at weekly meetings and when you are working with new agents. With each passing month, The Alliance continues to make an impact all over the world through money donated via the GSB program. We are proud of all our GSB winners and hope even more people will be able to win GSB checks in 2017!

In November of 2016, Andy Albright, president and CEO of The Alliance, announced a new program to recognize the best and brightest agents for their efforts in personal production and

recruiting. The result was the formation of SEAL Team 20, a group of elite agents that lead by example when it comes to being successful with The Alliance. Members of SEAL Team 20 are agents who book 20 appointments a week, write $20,000 in personal production each month and hire at least two direct personal recruits monthly. SEAL Team 20 members also win Good Samaritan Bonus check for the charities of their choice each month ranging from $200 to $350 based on personal production. In addition to compensation for their production, SEAL Team 20 members were informed they would be given special recognition at various times throughout 2017.

Inaugural SEAL Team 20 members were given red, white and blue ribbons to wear at weekly HotSpot meetings and large events like NatCon17 and Family Reunion, which will be held in July in Burlington, N.C. At NatCon17, SEAL Team 20 members for November and December were presented with exclusive Oakley camouflage backpacks (only 100 were made), a 2016 SEAL Team 20 commemorative patch, a challenge coin, lapel pin, wooden Round Tuits and a logo highball glass.Agents who have hit SEAL Team 20 in 2017 are being presented with a 2017 ST20 patch and a monthly patch based on the month they achieved ST20. Albright also wanted to offer special experiences for ST20 members with trips to Florida, Texas, Florida and North Carolina. Some of the highlights of those experiences were:ST20 members met with Albright at the G5 Ranch with Tim Goad,

were recognized on The Wednesday Call and earned the chance to participate in a guided airport alligator tour in the Everglades.ST20 members were invited to the Dallas Safari Club expo to check out everything you can think of related to the big game hunting world. They also had select meals with Albright and other leaders of The Alliance. In March, Albright invited SEAL Team 20 members to the Albright Leadership Cabin for a “Special Forces” leadership experience that included the chance to shoot some various firearms. In attendance were all the current SEAL Team “Madmen” who are featured on the cover of this issue of Alliance Magazine. 90-Day Madmen are SEAL Team members who have achieved SEAL Team status three months in a row. So far these include Mike & Michele Alleman and Katrina Gustin who have earned ST20 four months in a row, and Olga & Jason Mathis and Angela Manzo who have reached it three consecutive months.ST20 members were invited to have dinner with Albright at Prime One Twelve in Miami for a ridiculously extravagant meal and association. The next morning, the group visited with Brett David and the sales team at Prestige Imports of Miami, where the team was able to look at different styles of Lamborghini, Bugatti, Aston Martin, Bentley, Pagani, Ferrari, Porsche, Maserati, McLaren,

We are going to do some experiences that will make people wish they were part of SEAL Team 20.”The Alliance’s SEAL Team 20 members in 2016 and 2017 are: Michele and Mike Alleman, Katrina and Les Gustin, Jason and Olga Mathis, Angela Manzo, Martha Batorski, Minerve Prophil and Robespierre Chicoye, Eric and Bobbi Bellaire, Mike and Kerry Williams, Matt and Heidi Thorton, Angela Clark, Nathan and Melody Thomas, Paul and Sam Minichino, Debbie Benn, Eric and Sheryl Lardie, Chris Murphy, Michael and Brittany Rodriguez, Marty and Diana Doggett, Jazmin Lightbourn, James Coleman, Ben and Natasha Smallidge, Marvin Osuna, Mickey and Joanna Crews, Matt and Stephanie Goodrich, Jacob Kern, Jason

For a number of years, many people viewed The Alliance as a money-making machine. What people were

missing was the fact that The Alliance is more about growing people’s dreams and goals than it ever was about getting rich. If you can’t help people and make the world a better place then what good is having all the money in the world? That’s why it is important for the world to know that The Alliance is a vehicle

that provides people a community, environment and a culture where they can experience more things that the world has to offer via the “Great American Dream Machine.”This year’s theme was unveiled at NatCon17 in Raleigh, N.C., and if you were there then you know The Alliance kicked “GADM” off in a major way.Training, inspiring stories, keynote speaker John C. Maxwell, awards recognition

and entertainment were all part of what was an incredible weekend at the Raleigh Convention Center. Things got rolling with a men’s and women’s seminar on Friday morning to set the tone for the weekend. A series of specialized breakouts were held as momentum built toward the official kickoff Friday night, which featured the top leaders of The Alliance with a “steam punk” attitude. Saturday night’s award ceremony featured

In February, The Alliance made a two-year commitment totaling $40,000 to missionary Murli Menon and the Impact of Hope International to construct a sports complex, children’s homes and a

leadership center for underprivileged people in India. The project is underway and should be completed by the end of May. The project will enable 200 people to have a place to stay fit regularly, with that number growing over time. This will provide a space to eventually help thousands make their health a priority and attend leadership conferences periodically on the campus. Menon, whose ministry is based in Raleigh, N.C. and was a long-time friend of the late JL Williams, said this project is a commitment to helping develop people physically and spiritually. “The scripture says bodily exercise profits little,” Menon said. “Moreover, it will enable us to socially bond better, after all communities that play together stay together.”The sports facility will feature a basketball court, volleyball court, track and field facility, cricket grounds and a soccer field. Plans are in the works to build a pavilion that will seat 150 people and a gym with exercise equipment and free weights will be part of the project too. Menon said having the support of The Alliance and Andy Albright speaks highly about the driving force of the company and its desire to help make a difference to others in the world, not just in the United States. “Andy is connected internationally and always has been compassionate in meeting the needs of disadvantaged people wherever he sees them,” Menon said. “Over the years, we have been recipients of Andy’s generosity. He indeed continues to be a blessing all over the world.”The Alliance has contributed to various projects to help those in need globally since its inception in 2002. The company partners with Foresters each year to give back in a number of areas that have included playground builds and refurbishments, donating school supplies to children and food donations through Pack-A-Thon events in Burlington, N.C.Albright said supporting the efforts of friends like Menon and Impact of Hope International was another example of The Alliance supporting worthy causes that change lives. “Something as simple as having a place to exercise and be around your community is something that many of us take for granted,” Albright said. “This facility will offer a campus and place for people to stay in shape, enjoy associating with each other and learn from the leaders of the center. It is a win-win for everyone involved.”

21TEXAS: GROWING WITH PURPOSE

Each Wednesday night in Lewisville, Texas is another chance for Paul Roberts to help The Alliance grow. It is something he doesn’t take lightly as his office prepares to host its weekly

HotSpot meeting. When a new person walks in the door, Roberts said the length of time it takes to make a person feel welcome can make all the difference in the world. That’s the reason the Lewisville meeting and its regular attendees don’t hesitate to greet people as they enter the room. “You never get a second chance to make a first impression,” said Roberts, who started the Lewisville meeting with help from people like Jeremy Patton in September of 2014. “When a person walks in the room, we don’t wait to speak to them. If nobody gets to them in the first 20 seconds that doesn’t seem like a long time, but that is an eternity to a new person. People are not going to come back if they don’t feel like they are welcome in the room.”Roberts decided he could build a new meeting spot based on what he read in Rick Warren’s “Purpose Driven Church.” Well before the meeting, you can hear music playing and people buzzing in the room. By 7 p.m., the room is filled with excitement and energy as guests arrive. “The main drive of the meeting is to make people feel welcome when they walk in,” Roberts said. “We want it to be immediate. There’s no pecking order in our meeting and we don’t put people

into different categories. If one person is rude or mean, then that will be the impression they have of The Alliance. We have to make sure it is a positive experience.” The meeting started with low numbers, but eventually grew to 30-plus on a weekly basis. The meeting needed more space, so Roberts decided to sacrifice several offices and knock out walls to allow the meeting to grow without interruption. Roberts and Patton moved into offices on the floor below where the meeting is held in a 1,300 square-foot office space. On most weeks there are more than 50 agents attending with the goal being 75 each week. In addition to the weekly meeting, agents gather to watch Andy Albright’s The Wednesday Call at the Roberts’ office. The meat of Andy’s show serves as the basis for that week’s meeting. On Thursdays, two “Call Jam” sessions are held at 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. for what Roberts calls “on-the-job training.”“We follow what Andy teaches on TWC very closely,” Roberts said. “We are trying to lead by being the example of how to run a meeting for others. Our meeting is more about getting people’s hearts than it is about sales training.”On a large chalkboard in the front of the room you can find a list of names that include people who have won Good Samaritan Bonus checks, members of SEAL Team 20 and agents who have won the upcoming incentive trip.
