Getting Started

FAQ 1: How can I join Sama-Sama Lokal as a merchant? Interested merchants can register for Sama-Sama Lokal by downloading the Maybank QRPayBiz app from

the AppStore or Google Play Store.

To register as a Sama-Sama Lokal merchant, you must first register as a Maybank QRPay merchant (refer

FAQ 2).

Existing QRPay merchants may login to the QRPayBiz app and register as a Sama-Sama Lokal merchant

(refer FAQ 3).

FAQ 2: How do I register to be a QRPay merchant using QRPayBiz?

Step 1

Open the QRPayBiz app, click on the Register

button at the lower-left corner of the app.

Step 2

Follow the instructions on-screen and fill in the

required information to complete the registration

form.

Step 3 You are now a Maybank QRPay merchant. To log

in, click on the Login button on the lower-right

corner of the screen, select Manager, and sign in

with your user credentials and 6-digit PIN.

FAQ 3: How do I register to be a Sama-Sama Lokal merchant using QRPayBiz?

Step 1

Upon logging in to QRPayBiz, select the icon at the

top left of the screen, then select Sama-Sama Lokal

from the list. You will then be able to begin the

Sama-Sama Lokal registration.

Please note that Sama-Sama Lokal merchants are required to

link a MAE or Maybank Current Account to QRPayBiz (refer Step

1A or Step 1B under FAQ 3).

Step 1A

If you have an existing MAE or Maybank Current

Account but have not linked the account to

QRPayBiz, you will be prompted to change the

linked account to an eligible account.

Step 1B

If you do not have an existing MAE or Maybank

Current Account, you will be prompted to open an

eligible account first.

Once you have opened an eligible account, change

your linked QRPayBiz account by navigating to

Settings, then select Profile, then Account.

Step 2

If a MAE or Maybank Current Account has been

linked to QRPayBiz, clicking Sign Up will bring up

the Sama-Sama Lokal application form.

Follow the instructions on-screen and fill in the

required information to complete the registration

form.

Note: No changes can be made to Business

Category and Business Sub-Category fields after

they are set.

Once completed, click on Submit to send your

application to Maybank for review. For more

information on the Sama-Sama Lokal review

process, refer to FAQ 14.

Step 3

Once your application has been reviewed, you will

receive a notification. If approved, you may now

navigate to the Sama-Sama Lokal tab to begin

listing your products for sale on the platform (refer

FAQ 4).

Selling on Sama-Sama Lokal

FAQ 4: How do I create a product for sale on Sama-Sama Lokal?

Step 1

Navigate to the Sama-Sama Lokal tab, then select

the + icon at the top right corner of the page.

Step 2

Follow the on-screen instructions and fill in the

required information to complete the form.

Once completed, click on Submit to send your

product to Maybank for review. For more

information on the Sama-Sama Lokal review

process, refer to FAQ 14.

Step 3

While under review, the pending products will be

viewable from a new tab on the screen at the top

of the product list.

Step 4

Once your product has been reviewed, you will

receive a notification. If approved, your product

will appear on the Sama-Sama Lokal Products page.

FAQ 5: How do I begin accepting orders on Sama-Sama Lokal?

To begin accepting orders, navigate to the

Transactions tab, then toggle ON your store under

Orders.

Please note that you must have at least 1 approved product that

is toggled ON to begin selling.

FAQ 6: How do I view my incoming Sama-Sama Lokal orders?

Navigate to the Transactions tab, then select

Orders.

You can search for a specific order by using the

Order No.

Please note that you must be logged in as a Manager in order to

view the incoming Sama-Sama Lokal orders.

FAQ 7: How do I edit an existing product?

Step 1

Navigate to the Sama-Sama Lokal tab, then select

the Edit icon on the desired product.

Step 2

Edit the desired field(s), then click on Submit to

send your product to Maybank for review. For

more information on the Sama-Sama Lokal review

process, refer to FAQ 14.

Step 3

While under review, the product with edited

information will be temporarily removed from the

list of available products. You will be able to view

the pending products from a new tab on the screen

at the top of the product list.

Step 4

Once your product has been reviewed, you will

receive a notification. If approved, your updated

product details will appear on the Sama-Sama Lokal

Products page.

FAQ 8: How do I make a product temporarily unavailable?

Identify the desired product, then toggle OFF.

To make the product available again, switch the

same toggle to ON.

Please note that you must have at least 1 approved product that

is toggled ON to begin selling.

FAQ 9: How do I delete a product?

Identify the desired product, then select the Delete

icon. Upon confirmation, the select product will be

deleted permanently.

Managing Sama-Sama Lokal Operations

FAQ 10: How do I temporarily close my Sama-Sama Lokal store?

Navigate to the Transactions tab, then toggle OFF

your store under Orders. To reopen your store,

switch the same toggle to ON.

FAQ 11: How do I change my operating hours?

Step 1

Navigate to the Sama-Sama Lokal tab, then select

the Settings icon at the top right corner of the

page.

Step 2

Select Operating Hours, then make the desired

operating hours changes.

To add a new operating day, click on the + icon at

the top right corner of the page.

To edit an operating day, click on the Edit icon on

the desired day.

To delete an operating day, click on the Delete icon

on the desired day.

Step 3

Once the desired changes have been made, click on

Save on the Operating Hours page, then Save

again on the Settings page to confirm the changes.

FAQ 12: How do I change my business fulfilment method?

Step 1

Navigate to the Sama-Sama Lokal tab, then select

the Settings icon at the top right corner of the

page.

Step 2

Make the desired changes to your fulfilment

method using the toggles.

Once the desired changes have been made, click on

Save to confirm the changes.

Please note that certain changes to business fulfilment method

may require a review by Maybank before the changes are

applied. For more information on the Sama-Sama Lokal review

process, refer to FAQ 14.

FAQ 13: How do I permanently close my Sama-Sama Lokal store and exit the platform? ● If you wish to exit the Platform and permanently disable your Sama-Sama Lokal account, please contact

the Sama-Sama Lokal Merchant Support Hotline at 03-7847 8855,

[email protected].

● Be sure to include your Referral Code in your communication.

● To find your ‘Referral Code’, login to the QRPayBiz as a Manager, then navigate to the Invite Friends tab.

You will see your Referral Code listed.

Sama-Sama Lokal Review Process

FAQ 14: How long does the review process take? The review process will take up to 7 working days for each request. Once the review is done, you will

receive a push notification as well as an email notification.

FAQ 15: My Sama-Sama Lokal application/changes have been rejected. What can I do? ● Depending on the reason of rejection, you may be able to edit the information and resubmit for review.

● If you would like to obtain further information, please contact the Sama-Sama Lokal Merchant Support

Hotline at 03-7847 8855, [email protected].

● Be sure to include your Referral Code in your communication.

● To find your ‘Referral Code’, login to the QRPayBiz as a Manager, then navigate to the Invite Friends tab.

You will see your Referral Code listed.

Sama-Sama Lokal Fees, Payments & Settlement

FAQ 16: Are there any fees for selling on Sama-Sama Lokal? ● There is NO FEE to sign up for Sama-Sama Lokal. It is absolutely free to sign up for Sama-Sama Lokal, and

NO commission charges as well.

● Note: The usual transaction fee of 8.50% on the total value of all transactions is waived in support for all

local businesses in Malaysia.

FAQ 17: When will I receive the payment settlement for my Sama-Sama Lokal sales? ● Upon participating as a Sama Sama Lokal merchant, all payment settlement will be done via batch

crediting, on a daily basis, one day after the transaction date (T+1).

● Merchants cannot revert back to real-time settlement thereafter.

● Merchants using MAE as a transaction account for QRPay & Sama-Sama Lokal need to take note of MAE’s

maximum wallet size and transaction amount limit and must ensure that their MAE account is able to

receive payment settlements. Maybank will not be responsible for any payment settlement failures

caused by MAE’s wallet size and transaction amount limits.

Sama-Sama Lokal Delivery Coverage & Arrangements

FAQ 18: How do I know if my business address is covered by Maybank Delivery API? ● Please refer to Table 2.0 and Table 2.1 below for delivery postcodes covered by Maybank Delivery API for

both auto and manual arrangements.

FAQ 19: What if my business address is not listed in the list for Maybank Delivery

coverage via Maybank 3rd Party Delivery Partner (Grab Express, Lalamove, MatDespatch,

Mr. Speedy, Bungkusit, GoGet)? If you are not able to find any delivery coverage from the list, please select ‘Self Delivery’ or ‘Self Pick-up’

as your delivery method in QRPayBiz.

For Klang Valley, Penang, Johor and Sabah:

FAQ 20: If my business location is in Klang Valley, Penang, Johor and Sabah and is not

covered by Maybank 3rd Party Delivery API, what should I do with my orders after

configuring the relevant settings to switch on 3rd Party Delivery on the latest QRPayBiz

app from 16 August 2021? Kindly untick the “3rd Party Delivery” option as your delivery type in your QRPayBiz app. Instead, you may

enable Self Delivery or Self Pick-up for your business to continue receiving orders.

FAQ 21: If my business location is in Klang Valley, Penang, Johor and Sabah and covered

by Maybank 3rd Party Delivery API, what should I do with my orders after 16 August? If your delivery coverage is covered by Maybank 3rd Party Delivery API and you enabled 3rd Party Delivery,

your order label will be stated as ‘3rd Party’. Our system will then automatically assign riders with

respective rider detail updates; you no longer need to go through the Telesales team (or conduct your

own delivery arrangements for Sabah).

For Other States (States in Malaysia excluding Klang Valley, Penang, Johor and Sabah):

FAQ 22: If my business location is in the Other States (States in Malaysia excluding Klang

Valley, Penang, Johor and Sabah), what should I do after 16 August? For Peninsular Malaysia (except Klang Valley, Penang and Johor) merchants, please maintain your current

delivery arrangements with the Maybank Telesales team. For Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan merchants that

are not covered by Maybank 3rd Party Delivery API, kindly maintain your existing delivery arrangements

using Self Delivery and Self Pickup.

FAQ 23: How can I reach out to Maybank Telesales team to arrange delivery? For delivery assistance via Maybank Telesales team, please reach out to the Primary Contact by states.

FAQ 24: When will Maybank 3rd Party Delivery API cover Other States (States in Malaysia

excluding Klang Valley, Penang, Johor and Sabah) for the system to automatically assign

riders? Maybank will expand the delivery coverage from time to time and will update merchants via official

communication channels.

Sama-Sama Lokal - ‘Pre-Order’

FAQ 25: My business requires to ‘Pre-Order’. What can I do? Maybank Sama-Sama Lokal ‘Pre-Order’ feature will only be ready in the later stage. For the time being,

you may indicate a ‘Pre-Order’ message under Business Description to notify and set customer’s

expectations. Please set ‘Self Delivery’ OR ‘Self Pick-up’ as your delivery preference (refer to FAQ 12).

Note: Please do not select ‘3rd Party Delivery’ to avoid automatic assignment of riders by the system if

your location is covered by Maybank 3rd Party Delivery API.

FAQ 26: If I am already an existing Sama-Sama Lokal merchant doing ‘Pre-Order’ in Klang

Valley, Penang, Johor and Sabah that is covered under the Maybank 3rd Party Delivery

API, how can I process my orders after 16 August? You are required to continue with delivery arrangements via Self Delivery or Self Pick-up. Maybank will

turn off your 3rd Party Delivery setting on 15 August (for Penang, Johor and Sabah merchants who are

covered under Maybank 3rd Party Delivery API) and change to ‘Self Pick-up’. You are then required to

change to ‘Self Delivery’ option (refer to FAQ 12) and setup own delivery charges from 16 August to

manage your own delivery.

Sama-Sama Lokal Order Cancellation & Refund

FAQ 27: How can I cancel the orders from QRPayBiz? You are not allowed to cancel any orders from QRPayBiz; should you need to cancel any orders, please

contact your Account Manager (if any) / Branch Officer (if any) / Sama-Sama Lokal Merchant Support
