• I live in Austin’s colony and my name is Bobby Light and I am moving to San Felipe. I have 4 people in my family counting me, and 1 slave.

• Back where I lived before the weather was bad for the cotton I had. The first year my cotton did not grow too well so I had to sell more cattle to pay for my yearly land payment. Near the end of the year of 1822 my cotton did not grow at all.

• My family is having some trouble with money. The cattle were doing okay for the most part and my slave is also.

• It was the year 1823 and I had bought some new cattle and at the beginning of the year I am moving to get cotton and grow it. I bought 100 dollars of cotton, and 300 dollars on cattle.

• My cotton had some trouble growing due to the drought that was going on. Most of my cattle were no longer living also because of the drought.

• I was short on cash so I had to take a 500 dollars lowed so I could pay my land payment

• The year 1824 and I got some cash to pay off the lowed I owed. My cotton started to grow and my cattle were no longer dyeing because the weather cleared up.

• My slave got sick and soon died. My dad bought some more lumber so we could build a place for the cattle to sleep. The payment went down a little bit so we could start saving more money.

• I got to San Felipe and I got some cash and I ended up with 4116 dollars.
