OBITUARY John h. Farrell
John L. Farrell of 35 Prospect Park West, who had been a local resident for̂ many years, died on Monday, at* the age of 61, in St. Mary's Hospital, Brooklyn where he had been under treatment for a heart ailment for several days. Mr. Farrell was born April 27, 1894, in New York, the son of the late James F. and Elizabeth Far rell, who made their residence here in the Holland section about 1912. Mr. Farrell had resided in Belle Harbor and Neponsit since his marriage to the former Edna Ziegler of Brooklyn, in 1928, un til he moved to Brooklyn in 1947. He continued to be. a summer resident of the Rockaways.
He was a graduate of Xaviei High School, Manhattan; Ford-ham University and Kordham l#aw School where he received his degree following his return from service in the Navy in World War I. He was a partner in the New York firm of Hardy, Peal and Farrell,
While a Rockaway resident Mr. Farrell had been active in St. Francis de Sales Church, and held membership in the West End Democratic Club and the Se-wane Harbor Club. He also was a member of the New York State Bar Association, N e w Y o r k County Lawyers Association,

Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, John L. Farrell, jr.; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Ann Tunny and Miss Joan Farrell, all of Brooklyn, and a grandchild.

Mrs. WUlhuu -I. Sperl Following an illness of some
length. Mrs. William J. Sperl, of 92-05 De Soto place, died September 9 In the Rockaway Beach Hospital. Mrs. Sperl was the former iV<te Caiman. She was born In Woodmere, oh April 20, 1885, the daughter of the late William Carman and Alfretta Brower Of Woodmere, Her husband .William J. Sperl, died on September 3.
Mrs. Spoil had been a resident Of the Rockaways most of her life. She had been an active member of Olympia Chapter 584, Order of Eastern Star, Rockaway Beach Circle No. 876, Companions of1 the Forest of America, and Pocahontas Council 240, Degree of Pocahontas.
Services were conducted by the Olympia Chapter 584 O. E. S„ Rockaway Beach Circle No. 876, C.O.F. of A., an Pocahontas Council 240 on Monday evening at the Elmer J. Snyder Funeral Chapel, 88-16 Boulevard, where she re posed. Religious services were held on Tuesday afternoon at
1:30 p.m., with the Rev. Henry M. Childs, jr., of the First Congregational Church, officiating. Interment took place in./ Lawrence Cemetery, Lawrence, under the direction of Anthony J. Pol urn bo.
Ralph Brown Ralph Brown, of 2016 Seagirt
boulevard. Far Rockaway, died suddenly in Brooklyn on September 10. Brown was born in Missouri on April 3, 1898. He was a veteran of World War I and II, serving in the U.S. Navy, during both comlicts.
His widow, Mrs. Mary (nee Marshall) Brown, one son, Doug las; his mother Brown, and one Brown, suivive.
He reposed at Funeral Home, Corna#a avenue, Far Rockaway, with the funeral taking place yesterday at 10:30 a.m. Interment was in Plnelawn National Cemetery, Farmingdak.

Cornelius Mansion Cornelius Harr i son of Arverne,
died suddenly at Islanclora, Fla., on Saturday. He was born in Rockaway July 20, 1893, and was the son of the late Charles and Margaret Harrison. He was the brother of the late Florence Taylor who died three years ago.
One brother, Charles Harrison Of .'U9 Beach 73rd street, survives.
He reposed In the Denis S. O'* Connor Funeral Home at Beach 81th street. A Missa Cantata was offered yesterday in St. Rose of Lima Church with Rev, Thomas Flynn as celebrant, Interment was In St. Charles Cemetery, FarminKdale.
Marilyn Hienenfeld Will Wed Harvey Taub
The engagement of Marilyn Botte Bienefeld, daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Abraham Binon fold, of South Orange, N. J., former residents of Belle Habor, to Harvey R Taub of Maplewood, N. J., was announced this week.

Four Men Arrested For Disorderly Conduct
Lenoit Grant, 35, of 2110 Nameoko street, with three other men, was arrested Saturday and charged with disorderly conduct. Willie Walker, 49, of 319 Beach 33rd street; John Lomax, 33, of 124 Beach 30th street; and Edgar Smith, 40, of 124 Beach 36th street, were arrested with Grant a t the interesection of Mott and Redfern avenues.
Their sentence was suspended a t Night Court that nlight, however, they had been charged with being loud and boisterous, obstructing the path of pedestrians and loitering on the sidewalk.

The first meeting of the fall season will be held by the Parents Association of Public School 104, Mott avenue, in the school Monday nuight. Mrs. Rita Zimmerman, president, announced plans for the session.
"Matteis of Vital Interest" will be the subject for Principal Joseph Grostield. All parents will be welcomed and refreshments will be served after the business meeting.
Meetings between parents and teachers will he held during the second week of the school term to promote greater cooperation between home and school.
