Salkehatchie online registration is now open. The dates are June 11-18 and we will be attending the Lancaster Camp. Cost is $230 per person. We will have an info session on March 20 at 5:00 in the FLC for all youth and adults interested in attending. Must be 14 years old by the start date of camp.
We encourage you to make use of our online
giving option. Please scan the QR code with any
smart phone or iPhone to navigate to the secure
ACS account for FUMC and make your donation.
The weekday children’s ministry at FUMC is growing
and we are looking to add a part-time (15-20 hours per
week) Childcare Attendant to our preschool program.
This person will need to have experience in lesson
planning and leading classroom activities in a childcare
setting. If you know someone, please have them send a
resume to [email protected].
Grand Camp “Ocean Motion” June 24 - June 27
An intergenerational camp for grandparents and their elementary age grandchildren. A special time for 2
generations to make lasting memories as they learn and enjoy many wonders and creatures of the ocean.

First Church and the Hut Bible Class thanks Keith Benton
for the work his company did in replacing the concrete caps on
the brick columns around the Hut Bible Class. Keith donated the
caps along Main Street behind the Hut in memory of his father
Carl Benton, who had been a longtime Hut member and former
president.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the various Lenten and Worship services. Your presence greatly added to our preparations for the Easter Celebration of our Lord.
Please pardon our mess! The Trustees are busy
at work this Spring with the replacement of the
roofs at the FLC, Sanctuary, Education Bldg.,
and Fellowship Hall along with repairs to the
Hut Chapel roof. Numerous leaks and aging
roofs are being replaced as the Trustees strive to maintain our
campus. Be careful in the parking lots for spare roofing nails!

charities in Horry County. Donations are being
accepted through Easter Sunday, March 27. Please
mark your checks for the Lenten Offering. If you
wish to designate a specific charity, please indicate
that desire on your check. Thank you for your help
during this Lenten Season. Offering Charites are:
CAP, Help4Kids, Hungrief, The Shepherd’s Table, Good
Samaritan Fund, Salkehatchie, and the Waccamaw Youth Center.
Spring Break is observed March 25—April 3 as part of the school calendar. The children will not meet on Wednesday March 30. We will resume a full schedule on Wednesday, April 6
