Salix Arenaria

• Habitat and localization:

• Its habitat is in Europe. It grows under the sun or sometimes it is found under a slight shadow.

• Utilization by man.

• Its leaves, the inside and sprouts can be eaten, although they are not very tasty.

The inside contains salicin that turns into salicilic acid, which is quite similar to aspirin.

Some other uses

Its roots disseminate a lot and therefor are excellent in keeping the soil safe from

erosion.
