• Aspiration to build on the achievements of the last 10 years

• Absence of national targets

• The partnership wish to continue the momentum of the previous strategy

• Development of Salford targets and strategy

Headline targets

• A reduction in the number of people killed and seriously injured by 33% by 2020

(compared to baseline average 2004 –2009 of 90 KSIs per year) i.e. target of 75 by 2015 and 60 by 2020

• A reduction in the number of children killed and seriously injured by 50% by 2020

(compared to baseline average 2004 –2009 of 18.5 KSIs per year) i.e. target of 14 by 2015 and 9 by 2020
