Metra's intent is to obtain readers that are capable of accepting other types of payment such as Ventra, App.lePay, Android Pay, etc. If the vendor's solution requires Metra's assistance to acquire readers, software and support for acceptance of Ventra cards, the proposal shall indicate this assumption, the proposed responsibilities required of Metra, and any related costs. If the vendor intends to generate their own third party contract with Ventra, ApplePay, AndroidPay, etc., the proposal shall also indicate this assumption and any related costs. Question s : Metra Response: Please clarify the expectations for change giving. As per Addendum No. 1 revised proposal documents, the initial order will be for credit card only machines so change giving will not be required for the initial order of machines. If Metra orders cash and credit machines in future orders, Metra would like to accept coins and bills and dispense change in coins and bills for machines that accept both cash and credit cards.

Please clarify expected commercial delivery dates for the system.Metra anticipates testing to begin the 1st of September. Delivery and installation ofthe initial order to be ongoing following acceptance testing with machines andsystem in production November 1, 2018.

Please provide requirements for the tickets: size, thickness, material.Tickets are currently printed on security paper stock. Acceptable ticket dimensionwidths are 2 '5/;" * %" and lengths 3 '/2" =)= %" with 7 to 11 mil thickness. In addition,vendors may recommend other ticket types, sizes, thicknesses and material optionsbased on current best practice standards or available technologies, but any suchrecommendations shall not be proprietary in nature.

Under fare selection tab E8, "The TVM shall scan the barcode of each issued ticket andreceipt, and send the barcode information along with the transaction information for eachsales transaction.? To where?

The vendor shall indicate in their proposal if this information will be submitted toMetra through electronic means, or via the management system, etc. Metra willdesignate a point of contact for receipt of the information. Metra shall not berequired to be in receipt of any credit card data. The vendor shall formulate a fileor report containing applicable sales, billing, and settlement information.

Under Physical A7a says Coin, bill, ticket and other openings....A9 mentions coin vaultsand coin hoppers. Do you want to accept coins and bills and dispense change? Do youwant to dispense Coins only or Bills as well?For dual credit card/cash machines, the machines should accept coins and bills anddispense coins and bills.

Is there any indication of when Metra would like to make an award for this RFP in thefuture? Is this something that would be awarded before the end of 201 8? I waswondering who currently provides Metra with its Ticket Vending Machine system? Isthis handled through a contact with a vendor or is this done in house currently? If this iscurrently handled through a vendor would it be possible to obtain a few contract detailssuch as the current vendor, duration and value of the contract? Are the contractdocuments available online or through a records request?Metra anticipates awarding this procurement in the third quarter of 2018, howeverthis schedule is subject to change.
