• Designers can size pipelines and recommend operating envelopes to stay within the erosion limits.
• Field operators can optimize production rates to stay within erosion limits when production scenarios change. It ensures safe and reliable operation of pipelines.

• Comprehensive suite of erosion models (API, DNV, Salama, Salama-
Venkatesh, Jordan, and ECRC).
• Comparison of model data with lab and / or field data
• Automatic parametric analysis to rapidly determine operating
envelope (for e.g. velocity boundary plots, sensitivity plots and
operating envelope curves)
• CFD module to enable CFD analysis of piping components
• Data science module to facilitate development of data driven models
Erosion Model Calculations
• Prediction and comparison of erosion rates using
various erosion models for piping components such as
elbows, tees, welded joints, straight pipes, and reducers
• Erosion models available in PERMiT: API RP 14 E, DNV
RP 0501, Salama, Salama & Venkatesh, Jordan – ECRC,
ECRC –Bubble flow
• Construct erosion velocity boundary plots using
different models
• Allows user to superimpose operating envelope curves
generated using different models for comparison
• Create sensitivity plots to see how erosion is affected
by changes to a parameter such as gas velocity or pipe
diameter
• Store wall thickness, coupon data, or
erosion rates along with all relevant piping
configuration, process flow conditions, etc.
