Situation
Citrix is an international software company whose products are "show me" products. They were
challenged to find a way to deliver their message to a wide audience that would provide "demo-
like" capability and would be cost effective, innovative and compelling. Although they have been
rolling out effective email campaigns, with the overuse of this medium and recipients being
selective as to what they view, it was important that Citrix identify a technology that would provide
a "wow" factor.
4What Solution
4What reviewed the current email campaigns that had been utilized and determined that a more
interactive campaign would be most effective for the client. 4What utilized their unique Wideo
technology to create short online demonstrations using video and animation together, creating a
more humanized approach. The campaigns were done both via email and CD mailings. The
interactive aspect created a tool that gets used far more often. 4What also initiated a complete
tracking system in this campaign to be able to determine accurate ROI.
Results
Utilizing the 4What technology, Citrix has been able to achieve their goals by delivering both a high-
level message from their Citrix Executives and combining it with a "walk-through" demo of their
products. Through these innovative technologies, Citrix was able to almost triple the amount of
highly qualified leads generated in their marketing campaigns. This is now being utilized in other
departments of Citrix for corporate communications as well as training.
