Homebound and Sick Do you know of someone who is homebound and would appreciate a visit from a priest or Spiritual Care Companion? Our parish has a ministry to the homebound. If you know someone in the parish who would like a visit to receive the Eucharist, please call Adrienne Cullen at 978-663-3624 to arrange a visit.
Elementary Grade Teachers Needed
Our Billerica families of faith need you to bring them closer to Jesus. Immediate Need for Grade 3, 4, 5 Co-Teacher: Sundays 10:30 am at St. Mary (commitment is every other week). You will share responsibility with another teacher and have a committed class-room aide. Please step up to help! This class needs YOU NOW! Please contact Deb Fergus at 978-667-3733 x 442 or [email protected]. Hall Monitors are also needed at St. Theresa (commitment is every other week) Mondays at 6 pm and Tuesdays at 4 and 6 pm. Religious Education Registration Registrations are being taken for our this school year. Parents, including those with children en-tering first grade and registering for the first time, can find registration information and forms on our website: reled.billericacatholic.org. We have openings in many of our class sessions, but they are filling quickly. Do not let a financial situation delay your regis-tration. We will work with you.
Annual CORI Form Collection
Once again this fall, we need all parish, religious education, and collabora-tive-wide volunteers to complete a CORI form for the year. We will be available after all Masses the weekends of
September 2-3 and 9-10 at St. Theresa Church to verify your identity and take your form. By completing a CORI after these Masses, you will not need to make a special trip to a parish office or the BCRE Office to do so. You may also have your form verified at any of these offices during regular office hours. Thank you for your commitment and service!
Catholic Community of Billerica Celebrates “America’s Yankee Doodle Town”!
We invite you to march with the collaborative in the Yankee Doodle parade on Saturday, September 16. We will have lots of fun togeth-er handing out goodies to the spectators. We will gather at 9:30 am at the Billerica Mall

Moms Group A group of new (and not so new) moms is meeting week-ly to hang out, socialize and chat about relevant issues. It is a great way to get out of the house and socialize, for yourself and your baby/toddler(s). VIRTUS Trainings Updated Those working with children, and parents, are in-vited to a training for Protecting God’s Children. The training has been updated recently, so please consider attending again. Local trainings will be: Monday, September 25, 6:30-9 pm, at St. An-drew and Sunday, September 24 at 2 pm at St. Mary. You will find directions for online registration as well as a listing of other area trainings: reled.billericacatholic.org/virtus. Helping the Missionaries of Charity Once again this year, the Catholic Community of Billerica will be helping St. Teresa of Calcutta’s Missionaries of Charity. St. Mary Parish has supported their ministry to the elderly for many years. Gift labels will be available in baskets located at the entrances to all three churches the weekend of September 2 & 3. We ask that you pick up a tag as your gift pledge for an elderly person. We will begin collecting the gifts the weekend of Septem-ber 16 & 17. Thank you for your generous donations as we honor St. Teresa of Calcutta on the first anniver-sary of her canonization!
We would love for you to get involved in this ministry! If you would like to help out with the September 15 meal, please email Sierra ([email protected]) to find out what kind of help we still need and get on our monthly email list for volunteers, cooks, and grocery do-nors. The monthly email has all the information about our specific needs for the month’s meal. We appreciate all the support, especially from those of you who pray for this ministry and the

When Your Sibling Dies When a brother or sister dies everything changes in your family, in your life, and your dreams. Know you are not alone in your grief and loneliness. A Surviving Sibling Support Group is now offered at Saint John the Evangelist Old Parish Hall at 115 Middlesex Street in North Chelmsford on the last Saturday each month from 10:30 am to 12 pm for surviving adult siblings of all ages. Our meetings will resume September 30. All are welcome for a safe place to share their story, find comfort, hope and encouragement as you continue a new path in life. Registration is not necessary.

Tootsie Roll Golf Tournament Every year the Knights of Columbus throughout the United States conduct a charitable golf tournament, known as the “Tootsie Roll Drive.” The proceeds from this drive benefit special needs children directly. This year is our 25th Annual Tournament. Please join us Monday, September 18 for this year's memorial tournament honoring Clif Doiron and Bill Morrissey’s lifetime of dedication. Singles will be assigned a team. We will be at Passaconaway Country Club in Litchfield, N.H. The fee is $145 for 18 holes, cart rental, and meal. Register: Dave Molhan at 978-335-6182.
