Anointing of the Sick Mass St. Peter’s annual Mass with the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick. This beautiful Mass offers the Sacrament of Anointing to those with acute or chronic illnesses, those with other physical or emotional infirmities and the elderly. We also offer a special blessing to all those who are caregivers, health service providers, doctors, nurses and other who work in the fields of medicine or health care. We encourage

you to attend with your family. If you are not in need of anointing, but know of a parishioner or relative who is, please invite them to join you. The Mass will be celebrated in the Church THIS Sunday, September 15 at 2:00 pm.

To all parishioner parents of a 2013 high school graduate: Your sons and daughters are off to new adventures in life at college or in the work force. St. Peter’s Parish would like them to know we are thinking of them and that we continue prayers for them. The first Mass offered at St. Peter’s present Church was

Sunday, September 12, 1915. Two years later, Sep-tember 16, 1917 the church was dedicated. Both events were delayed due to the fact that the stained glass windows had not arrived. It was in November 1920 that the windows arrived from Germany. World War I caused the delay. ~ Sr. Paula

Host Families Needed: to house Japanese Jr. High Stu-dents - arriving October 9 and leaving October 14. Stu-dents will attend school all day October 10 and 11. For information contact Ann Brown 419-756-6983.

What is the Traveling Cross Program? A wooden pedestal cross will be passes from household to another each weekend at all 9:30 am Masses in the month of Octo-ber. vocation prayers will accompany the cross. The goal is to have the program at all Masses so the entire parish is involved.

desire for repentance could create a great joy in heaven! Fr. Robert Barron’s presentation on the “Seven Deadly Sins, Seven Lively Virtues” presents realistic steps we could take to aid in our repentance. If you wish to join this dynamic presentation, facilitated by Joe Palmer, please notify Lynne Lukach to order the material necessary for the study group. We will have a few extra study materials available if someone would like to borrow the material for the series.
