DID YOU KNOW? All dioceses have Victim Assistance Coordinators, assuring that victims of abuse will be heard. In 2016, dioceses provided out-reach and support to 250 victims/survivors and their families who came forward to report abuse. Continued support was also provided to 1,510 victims/survivors and their families who reported abuse in prior years.

2017 ANNUAL CATHOLIC APPEAL “Their Eyes Were Opened and They Recognized

Him” In the Resurrection of Jesus, we find hope in the prospect of everlasting life in heaven. But to obtain eternal life, we must accept the Lord’s invitation to follow Him by imitating His love and compassion for others. During the weekend of April 29 & 30, our parish will participate in the 2017 Annual Catholic Appeal – a campaign conducted each year throughout the Diocese of Wilmington. Funds generated through the Appeal help provide critical financial support to nearly forty pastoral, charitable and educational programs and ministries. As Christian stewards, we are called to a lifelong conversion to the ways of Jesus. Each of us is asked to examine the blessings we have received from God and to discern how best to use them for others. We do this cheerfully and sacrificially and with faith in God’s love for us, knowing that He will provide for our earthly wants. Reconocieron” En la resurrección de Jesús, nosotros encontramos esperanza al saber que vamos a estar en el cielo una vida eterna. Pero para obtener la vida eterna, nosotros tenemos que aceptar la invitación de nuestro Señor a seguirlo e imitar Su amor y compasión hacia los demás. Durante el fin de semana del 29 y 30 de abril, nuestra parroquia va a participar en la Campaña Anual 2017—una campaña que se hace cada años por toda la Diócesis de Wilmington. Fondos generados por la campaña ayuda a proveer ayuda financiera a casi 40 pastorales, instituciones de caridad y programas educativos y ministerios. Como cristianos que somos, estamos llamados a una conversión para ser como Jesús. A cada uno de nosotros se les pide que hagan un examen de conciencia de todas las bendiciones que han recibido de Dios y como las hemos usados con los demás.
