A Family Perspective by Bud Ozar
Giving the shirt off your back, turning the other cheek or walking / driving the extra mile
is normal stuff in families. We do that for one another. Today’s gospel reminds us all
people, even those we don’t like, are our brothers and sisters. Our family should prepare
us to be FAMILY to others.

When we hurt and are suffering at the hands of others, at times we may want

pray to the Holy Spirit to give us strength to do loving things when they are
hard to do.

Prayer & Reflection— God knows our sinfulness and weaknesses bet-
ter than we do and he assures us of his love, mer-
cy, and help. That is why he freely gives us his
power, strength and gifts so that we may not lack
anything we need to do his will and to live as his
sons and daughters. Do you want to grow in your
love for God and for your neighbor? Ask the Holy
Spirit to purify and transform you in the image of
the Father that you may know and live in the joy
and freedom of the Gospel.
