2nd Sunday of Easter
April 28, 2019
ST. REGIS STEWARDSHIP CORNER In today’s first reading from the Acts of the Apostles we hear it proclaimed that many “signs and wonders” were performed in public by Christ’s followers, a demonstra-tion that produced two results. First, the people of Jerusa-lem outside the Christian community were awed by what the disciples were performing. And in the midst of all this amazement, many were being converted. Good stewards know of the evangelizing power emanating from their daily acts of love, compassion, kindness and generosity. They believe that if they stay focused on Christ each day, every act has the power to transform a broken world. What “signs and wonders” will we perform today? There are so many details that go into these days and we couldn’t do it without all the help. A special thanks to Diane Banks and all the musicians and choir members who contributed to our prayerful and inspiring liturgies - to Germaine Fleming, Karen Meyers, and Alisha Jimenez for oversee-ing the decorating of the church and all those who helped on Holy Saturday - to Ora Reyes for coordinating the re-ception after Easter Vigil - and to all the Liturgical Minis-ters who assisted with the Masses and Prayer Services during Holy Week. We are blessed to have so many wonderful parishioners.

2nd Sunday of Easter
April 28, 2019
SPIRITUAL ADOPTION Month 9: Congratulations, I am here! As you know though, my birth was not the beginning of my life. My life began nine months ago when my parents contributed their love to each other to form this unique human being. At that miraculous moment I also received my soul from God making me an immortal be-ing. God’s plan for me is to live my life on earth then join Him in my heavenly home forever. Thank you on behalf of all babies and their mothers for your loving prayers that helped to bring us to birth.
The Art and Environment Committee is grateful to those who made donations to the flower fund for the Easter season.
Please remember their friends and relatives in prayer. James & Louise Kuchinski –in memory of Morris & Aletha Manley; Jim & Lola Martin; Dan Kuchinski
