June 12, 2016 I live, no longer I, but Christ lives in me.

— Galatians 2:20

On May 23rd, 2016, The 17th Annual St. Frances Cabrini Golf Tournament was held at the Cinnabar Hills Golf Club in San Jose, CA.

The 134 players along with Deacon Hon and Father Michael Hendrickson all en-joyed a day of faith, fun and fantastic weather.

With over 30 volunteers from the Men’s Club, ICF, Bin-go, the school and Ladies League the golfers had a great time. In the past seventeen years, our yearly golf tournament has raised over $210,000 and has benefited many projects at both St. Frances Cabrini School and the Parish.

The Men’s Club worked hand in hand with Blanche Khoshaba, the new Director of Development at SFC school to carry off this joint parish event. We had the Time, Talent and Treasure that has made this event the success we have come know, year in and year out.

We want to thank our sponsors, RC Power, Inc., South Bay Materials, Blue Rock BBQ, Golfsmith, Advanced-Cath, Allied Landscape, CineLux Theatres, Silicon Val-ley Mechanical and Heineken.

We look forward to seeing you next year for SFC’s 18th annual golf tournament.

The SFC Golf Committee

Having Faith During Difficult Times

June 18th, 10am to 12:00 Noon A Conversation:

Jesus is the WAY, the TRUTH and the LIFE.

How has faith helped me find the Way, the Truth and the Life at difficult times in my life experience, know the truth

of my own giftedness and that of others, and live life more fully in the joy of the Kingdom? How has faith in Jesus propelled me into an experience of life that has

enriched me, and through me, others?

Presenter: Monsignor John Sandersfeld Msgr. John Sandersfeld is a retired priest in the Diocese of San Jose, having served 50 years in various diocesan parishes in San Jose and San Francisco. He has served as the Associate Director of The Parish Project for the

National Conference of Bishops in New York; the Vicar of Personnel; and Vicar of the Clergy. His last assignments were as pastor of Evergreen Mission and St. Francis of

Assisi Parish. Msgr. Sandersfeld says, “God has blessed and gifted me with companions on the journey who have

loved me and gifted me in good times and hard.”

HOSPITALITY CARD MINISTRY

“The following is how our Hospitality Card Ministry began. Hopefully others will be comforted by a physical connection. Sending cards should not be a dying art….Never was I an artist but the desire was always present. However, after incurring injury at my workplace, it was during recuperation, the artist in me came alive…”

Please pick up last week’s bulletin (in the parish Center) to read the full story of the inspiration that went into the making of these beautiful, one of a kind cards. This is a new ministry to ST. Frances Cabrini and we invite you to learn more.

Hospitality cards are available at no charge through the Parish Center. Simple complete a form found in the Vestibule at the back of the church and put it in the collection basket or bring to the parish office. We will then have Fr. Michael sign the card to be delivered. The recipient will be placed on the Intercessory Prayer List as well.

Registering with our Church

We warmly welcome new people into our parish community! Registration forms can be found on the book rack in the Vesti-

bule of the church (Salmon colored 2 sided paper) or in the Parish office. If you are a parishioner who is not receiving your offertory envelopes, please call the parish office at 879-1122 and. If you plan on moving or registering with another church, please give us a call so that you do not receive envelopes that

you will not be using.

“The Bible Timeline by Jeff Cavins”. Come see “The Bible Timeline by Jeff Cavins”. We are discovering the amazing story woven throughout Scripture and learning how God's Word applies to our lives. Come one time, come to the whole series, come when you can. No homework or studying is re-quired. But if you wish to go deeper, there will be outside Bible reading and a workbook. There is no cost unless you wish to purchase a workbook or other study aids. Tuesday nights, 7-9 pm in the Parish Living room.

Putting On Kindness Don’t let your character be shaped by the attitude of the others around you. If someone is getting on your nerves, be patient.

There are times when we must draw healthy boundaries, but let us pray that we use wisdom in doing so. Don’t give up too quickly.

Keep your eyes on Christ at all time. He is the one lead-ing the dance. He’s the one we take our cue from.

- Darlene Schacht

The Sacrament Certificates are signed, sealed and the photos are ready for pickup for the Sacraments of Confir-mation and First Holy Communion. I will be available in the Parish Center after 9:30am Mass (10:40am until 12:40pm) today for those picking up their child’s certifi-cate as well as for those who will receive a free book SFC 60th Anniversary Yearbook by having their photo taken. Thank you. Joan Schenck. [email protected]

GREETERS Do you like people? Are you fun and outgoing? If you an-swered yes to either one of these questions--we want you to become one of our weekend Greeters at Mass. Those who are currently doing it are making lots of new friends. We espe-cially need Greeters on Saturday at the 5 PM Mass and Sun-day at the 8 AM, 11:30 AM and the new 5:30 PM Masses. It is easy to do and only takes 15 minutes. Please call Barry 408-379-6517 or email [email protected].
