THANK YOU Thank you to my two angels who volunteered for two special needs: new purificators and new kneel-ing pads for servers. Also, thank you to our “Linen Ladies” who graciously do our altar linens, towels, purificators and corporals each week.

Religious Education
ABC’s of Faith
The Religious Education Families are focusing on their “ABC’s of Faith” with a different Scripture each week.
This week it is “R”: Renew Your Mind Romans 12:2 “Don’t be like the people of this world, but let God change the way you think. Then you will know how to do everything that is good and pleasing to him.” (CEV)
Celebrating a Milestone Anniversary This Year?
Whether it’s 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 or well beyond, it’s always something special to look back on the prom-ises made and kept and look forward to continuing to live out the commitments stated in the past. Dur-ing this Holy Year of Mercy, we once again will offer the opportunity for all married couples to renew their vows at the 9:00 AM Mass on February 14. Each year when we have celebrated the Worldwide Week-end Celebrating Marriage by having a renewal of vows, participants as well as parishioners in the pews have been moved by the witness of so many married couples who continue to live in love and mercy with their spouses. So that we can properly plan for this event, kindly fill out this brief form and drop it in the collection basket or at the parish office by Feb. 7. Name of couple:_____________________________
Anniversay Date_____________________________ Or you can e-mail the information to Mary Catherine at [email protected]
Religious Education on Ash Wednesday
All students are expected to attend Mass on Ash Wednesday at 6:30 PM. There are no afternoon classes or Children’s Choir on this day. Classes will resume on February 17 at the usual times.
Some Recent RE Activities
♦ Mrs. Quadros and her Level 1 class made Valen-tines to send to our recent widows and widowers.
♦ Level 2 students and our Year 1 RCIA students participated in a retreat for First Reconciliation.
♦ Some of our Junior and Senior High students par-ticipated in the special LOL Mass on January 24.
♦ TCIA students led Bingo at the nearby Brookdale Senior Center. ♦ Confirmation students have helped with Backpack
ministry, changing the environment in Church after Christmas, some will be helping to set up the
environment for Lent, and several will be helping with Mardi Gras this week.
Please keep our students and their families in your prayers.
Misericordiae Vultus:
Looking for Mercy
Pope Francis’s Papal Bull will be the subject of our first “Tuesdays in Lent”series which will be offered
Tuesday, February 16 in the Bernardin Room at 7:00 PM.
Join us for prayer and reflection as we dialogue about the content of our Pope’s letter to the Uni-versal Church calling each of us to a Holy Year of Mercy. We will reflect not only on the actual words of the Papal Bull, but also how we as a parish are living out his call to us as well as how we might go further in extending the love of the Father to all His children.
