SAGINAW COUNTY The County of Saginaw, Michigan is located in the eastern central portion of Michigans Lower Peninsula, approximately 15 miles southwest of the Saginaw Bay and 95 miles northwest of the City of Detroit. We are the home to popular tourist destinations like Frankenmuth, Birch Run and Chesaning, great sporting attractions like Saginaw Spirit Hockey at The Dow Event Center and cultural attractions including art and historical facilities. It also offers strong economic sectors in manufacturing, health-care, professional services and high-tech industries and affordable housing. 10TH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT COURT Saginaw Countys 10th Judicial Circuit Court is a state trial court. It hears felony cases, civil cases with a value in excess of $25,000, divorce and family related matters (Friend of the Court) and appeals from Probate and District courts and administrative agencies.

The Family Court, a division of Circuit Court, hears juvenile delinquency, neglect/abuse, and adoption matters. The Family Court also operates a juvenile detention facility

Saginaw County Circuit Court has five full-time elected judges. The Family Division of Circuit Court has one judge. GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES Manages administrative functions of the Circuit Court. Directs staff, responsible for case processing, fiscal control, security, court reporting, and other non-judicial functions. Exercises general supervision of the Friend of Court Office as directed by the Chief Judge. Responsible for caseflow management, fiscal management, personnel management, jury utilization, and other administrative functions. Serves as liaison with bar; state and local agencies; and the public and media when directed by the Chief Judge. QUALIFICATIONS Masters Degree in Court Management, Public Administration, or Business Administration and a four year degree in the area of business, finance, economics or similar.

OR A four year degree with supervisory experience in a Court or similar environment, and completion of an intensive Judicial Administration certification program provided by the Institute for Court Management. Previous work experience in Court or related exposure to the legal system is extremely important. Knowledge of caseflow management, information technology, human resource management, resources, budgeting, and financing. Knowledge of public information and media relations. Organization and techniques for developing goals and objectives. Ability to collaborate with other County departments and partner stakeholders is vital.
