Vacuum-in- sulated, double-walled LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) tanks for trucks, powered by natural gas or biogas, have for some time already been part of the business of SAG. The liquefied fuels are stored at about -150 ° C, whereby the operational efficiency is increased. LNG is not only a cost-saving alternative to conventional diesel fuel, but also more environmental- ly friendly. By early June 2015, the new generation of LNG cryogenic tanks has been released for the European market after all certifi- cation exams required by ECE R110 were passed with flying colours. In addition to SAG useable LNG volume The maximum useable LNG volume provided for each specific tank length, a special attenti- on given to optimum packaging of all LNG tank components to ensure maximum driving range. Thanks to the robust design and the high quality of the materials, the tanks passed these tests with great success. Since last quarter 2015, SAG Motion GmbH provides the fi rst in-house de-veloped LNG cryotanks to various Ori-ginal Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and truck fl eets in Europe.
