Scuba diving is a fascinating hobby, but it can be dangerous for beginners. When diving, there are number of safety considerations to keep in mind.

First of all, it is important to plan ahead and be well prepared for the specific dive you plan to do. For example, you should research the currents and hazards that might be present in the dive area and determine in advance how deep the dive will be.

Then, while on the dive, do not depart from the original plan. Never dive alone, and be sure to check the equipment before beginning the dive to ensure that it is in good working order.

It is also important to keep a clear head while diving in order to avoid life-threatening mistakes. This means you should avoid diving while under the influence of alcohol. Also, if at any time you feel that you are not thinking clearly during a dive, relax and think your way through the problem, as panicking will make the situation worse. Turn to a dive partner or the leader of the dive for assistance if necessary.
