• Build capacity and capability to support clinical teams in driving safety & quality in their own areas
• To develop an understanding of methods of continuous improvement
• To experience the learning of being involved in an improvement project
Develop a Culture of Continuous Improvement

• 2012/13 – 77 participants, 22 mentors and 29 projects
The SQE Programme: content
9 month duration

• Improving VTE risk assessment through post take ward-round checklist
• Pain management in cognitively impaired patients
• Service user engagement with vulnerable adults to improve outcomes
