Predominantly for use in metallurgical works, incinerators and the

construction of industrial furnaces, OHL Gutermuth designs indus-

trial valves meeting all operation-specific requirements by the use

of heat-proof and nonscaling materials, with stress and deforma-

tion stability in the high-temperature range through the use of low-

ribbing components and rotationally symmetrical constructional

elements and with the least possible transmission of heat from the

media into the environment. In addition, if required, outfitting can

be carried out with brick lining and extended outer bearings.

Depending on the application in question, shut-off elements (valves) in

vacuum systems can also be subject to special requirements, in additi-

offer zero leakage, accurate control of the medium and are available in

resilient or metal seat. Firesafe butterfly valves are pressure-rated

up to ANSI CL. 2500 and come in sizes up to 2800mm. Their Zero

Leakage Quarter Turn high-pressure butterfly valve is designed for

abrasive services and extreme temperatures.

Wherever there are high flow velocities in conjunction with solid contents in the medium,

cavitation, bulk materials or other abrasive media, OHL Gutermuth offers industrial valves

in a wide variety of designs. The solution to the problem lies in particular in the flow geo-

metry of the wearing parts of these valves and in the material selection and coating.

The body, disc and shaft are made abrasion-resistant and robust to wear. Special body pro-

tection with a solid hardmetal or ceramic insert, solid disc of hard metal or ceramic as welI

as protective sleeves of the shafts in the critical transition region between body and shaft ideally

satisfy the abrasive operating conditions.
