The need to develop the operational culture and environment of schools and their relations with the society in order to find solutions to challenges concerning children and adolescent both in Finland and in Estonia:

1) increasing inactivity in life style - especially polarization to active and passive ones

increasing "screen time" (time spent in front of TV, computers etc.)

too little physical activity, unhealthy eating habits -> overweight and obesity2) the low level of involvement and participation on a school community level (low

"feeling fine in school" aspect vs. good academic results and ratings)3) increasing disparity and inequality of well- being caused by socio-economic

factors

WE HAVE TO FIND WAYS:To encourage active life style of children and adolescentTo increase participation and involvementTo strengthen the feeling of togetherness by doing concrete things togetherTo build a new partnership for this promotion (public sector, voluntary sector, private sector, experts)

Promotion of WELL-BEING and HEALTH as well as BETTER LIVING ENVIRONMENT of children, adolescent and families (activating methods & tools + activating environments)

Building a concrete basis for active life, participation and involvement as well as doing things together
