Cheverus Catholic School News • Christmas Pageant practices have begun. Teachers are choosing special parts, as well as international speakers and greeters. The Pageant is 7pm on December 18th at Sacred Hearts Parish.
• Students enjoyed a special Thanksgiving prayer service in the Cheverus gym. There were prayers, singing, and a slide show showing the names from our book of remembrance.
• Cheverus Catholic School will hold an All Class Reunion on March 5th, 2020 at 6:30pm. All alumni are welcome to attend. Please RSVP to Diana at 781-324-6584.
New Church Wheelchair Lift PlanNew Church Wheelchair Lift PlanNew Church Wheelchair Lift Plan
The new lift will be placed to the right of the side entrance nearest Main St., between the downspouts as pictured below. The new wheelchair lift will be enclosed and will service both the lower and upper churches. We currently have $11,590 in the elevator fund. We’re hoping to raise enough funds from this year’s Grand Annual campaign to make the lift a reality. The pictures shown above of the lift entrance, vestibule, and basement level landing, were taken at West Medford Baptist Church.
Giving Tree
The Giving Tree for the 2019 Christmas season will begin the weekend of November 23/24. This year we will be sponsoring families from Family Resource Center, Catholic Charities and St. Vincent De Paul. Please take a tag from the Christmas tree, purchase the gifts and return the items along with the tag by December 7/8. We will also be accepting diapers, all sizes, and gift cards to Target. We thank you in advance for your generosity.

Sacred Hearts Parish Hosts ALL NIGHT EUCHARISTIC VIGIL
All Night Eucharistic Vigil will be held at Sacred Hearts Parish, 297 Main Street in Malden on First Friday on December 6, with Holy Mass of the Sacred Heart at 9:00 P.M. The celebrant will be Fr. Mario Guarino and the themes of this vigil are the Maternity of Mary and Our Lady of America. The intentions of this vigil are for Pope Francis, Sean Cardinal O’Malley, priests and religious of the Boston Archdiocese. A special intention will be for the people of this parish.
During the evening there will be religious exercises, recitation of the rosary, chaplet of Divine Mercy, Stations of the Cross and the vigil will end with the Mass of the Immaculate Heart of Mary at 5: A.M. with Fr Mario Guarino as celebrant. Religious articles will be available and prayer cards will be distributed to all who attend. Refreshments will be served throughout the night.
