HOBY Leadership Conference

Gr. 10 Students Eligible to Apply

Sacred Heart High School will be sending one gr. 10 student to the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY)

Conference. This conference takes place the first weekend in May at Ridgetown College. HOBY motivates and

develops future leaders, preparing them for positions in their schools and helping them to expand the talents that will

serve them and others in the future. The HOBY seminar was first introduced to Canada in 1981. Although HOBY

originated in the U.S.A., these leadership seminars are totally Canadian in focus and content.

All gr. 10 students are invited to apply to attend this HOBY conference. Student services will be visiting gr. 10

classes in December to inform them of the application process. There is no cost to the student for this weekend

conference. Gr. 10 students from across southwestern Ontario will meet for this conference at Ridgetown College, May

1 to May 3, 2015. Further details regarding the HOBY conference are available through the guidance office.
