S a Parroquia Sagrado Corazón - Guadalupe es una comunidad de fé, devota y acogedora en el Westside que responde al llamado del Evangelio, predicando la Palabra, enseñando el uno al otro, y sirviendo a aquellos en necesidad.

ENDURING WITNESS‘Mártir’ y ‘confesor’ son dos palabras para ‘dar testimonio firme’. La lista de los santos, nuestros antepasados en la fe, está llena de aquellos que dieron testimonio de la resurrección de nuestro Señor Jesús y de la vida que vino después. Nuestra fe está basada en los testigos que estuvieron más cerca de aquel primer Domingo de Resurrección. Nosotros nos santiguamos, recitamos el Credo y oramos el Padrenuestro, como a ellos les enseñaron, como a nosotros nos enseñaron por nuestro Bautismo. Nuestra solidari-dad con ellos en la fe y en la Eucaristía nos da la fortaleza para que también nosotros sigamos adelante en nuestras vidas.

“Martyr” and “confessor” are two words for “enduring witness.” The lists of our holy ancestors in the faith are full of those people giving witness to the resurrection of our Lord Jesus and its consequence for life. Our faith is based on those witnesses tracing a line all the way to the first Easter Sunday. We sign ourselves, we recite the Creed, and we pray the Our Father as they, and we, were taught at baptism. Our solidarity with them in faith and the Eucharist gives us strength to endure for our lives, too.
