Dear Friends In Christ, Gratitude is a guiding principle in the spiritual life and a source of strength and renewal and so I begin by saying thank you to all of you. Our first weekend with me as your pastor was one full of joy and heartfelt words of prayerful support and assurance from so many of you, please know that I am truly grateful. Many of you inquired about my nephew, Tom. For those of you who don't know Tom, he is a resident at Inglis House which is a wheel-chair community. He became a member of our parish when I was here before. Due to some changes in his travel protocols he has not been able to come to Sacred Heart in the past few years as much as he has in the past. Due to the restrictions of the pandemic, he has unfortunate-ly been quarantined in his room so please pray for him and all of the residents of Inglis House that God may comfort them in this time of great trial. When I last spoke with Tom he told me that once the restrictions are lifted the first place on his list is Sacred Heart and then he said "you won't be able to get rid of me"! I couldn't think of a better "problem" to have. Please continue to pray for me as I am doing for all of you every day! Peace,
Fr. Nordeman

An Evening Retreat (through ZOOM) Wednesday, July 22, 2020, 7:30 to 9:30pm Facilitators: Jaclyn Newns and Nicholas Collura There are many forms of loss that we experience and they are all significant - loss of a job, a relationship, a dream, a loved one - and all forms deserve loving attention and compassion. Join us for an evening of prayer, reflection, story -sharing and learning. Gain sacred perspective on grief as it can lead to internal transformation, and spend time with yourself in a guided space to promote gentleness and reverence, hope and resilience.
