Sacred Heart Catholic Church The Epiphany of the Lord–January 7, 2018 Reflection from the Pastor: As the Christmas season continues with today’s celebration of the Epiphany of the Lord, the Gospel reminds us of our ever-present need to offer something to the majesty of God. At each and every Mass, we receive the generous gift of the Son of God, Jesus Christ. We receive Him in order to join in His offering to the Father. In this marvelous and mysterious exchange of gifts, our offerings are transformed. As we come to Mass today, we present to the Lord, not only our material offerings, but also our lives, pledged in love to Him. I want to thank each of you for your generous gifts of time, talent and treasure during this Christmas season; we are truly blessed. Thank you St. Joseph! Fr. CATHOLIC SOCIAL TEACHING: Three Thursdays

beginning Jan. 18; 7-8:30 p.m. Dusty Gates will present a

three part course highlighting the seven themes of Catholic

Social Teaching as they have been articulated by the

address Catholic Social Teaching bluntly and honestly,

sometimes caused by a confused understanding of

ecumenism. $30

pies?

Ella viene a
