Blind because of a retinal disease , totally blind by the age of 13.

• StudiedTibeta and the Tibetan language at BonnUniversity and created Tibetan Braille.

• She studied modern and classical Tibetan in combinationwith Sociology and Philosophy.

• Opened her own school, she founded the Centre for theBlind in Lhasa, the capital of Tibet, to educate blindpeople. Before, the blind had not been able to attendschool.

• She developed her own methods of studying the course ofstudying.

• Raised money for the project by selling herautobiography.

• Create the Tibetan Braille, in September 2002 the projectadopted the name Braille Without Borders.

• Sabriye Tenberken and her partner Paul Kronenberg alsostarted a new initiative in Trivandrum, Kerala, South ofIndia named kanthari.

• Is also the author of three books:

"My path leads to Tibet“

“Tashis neue Welt

“Das siebte Jahr” ("The seventh year")

• This woman teach us that there is nolimit to continue moving forward, andif we want something we can do it ,we only have to give our best andalways think positive.
