SA BASSA BLANCA

A symbiotic space between art, nature and architecture, founded by artists Yannick Vu and Ben Jakober, that promotes cultural development and respect for the environment. Located in a spectacular geographical enclave in the North of the island, Sa Bassa provides a unique sensory experience to our clients who chose to go further afield. You may self drive or take a chauffeured car to the country estate near Alcúdia. The visit includes a privately guided tour featuring several exhibition spaces, the Sculpture Garden and a magnificent viewpoint, as well as drinks and picnic provided by the hotel, and set up in a lovely spot on the premises of Sa Bassa Blanca (e.g. Rose Garden).

PLEIN-AIR CLASSES ON THE“CAMINO DE LOS PINTORES”

Dig out your artistic side and indulge in some painting lessons outside the hotel with a young and enthusiastic artist who lives in the enchanting village of Deià. In a breathtakingly beautiful spot up on the cliffs of Cala Deià (the bay below the hotel) the artist will teach participants how to paint and be inspired by nature.

Price: €150 for a private class (1 person). 130€for couples or groups (maximum 5 pax) Activity takes 3 hours approx

The activity includes a shuttle service down to the bay, all painting material, easels and tubes for transport of artwork. Time frame approx. 3 hours. Guests will have to walk for a few minutes to go round the bay and get to the chosen spot for the class.

ART AND DINE

This year our most curious guests can enjoy this alternative culinary experience throughout the property, sipping a cocktail by a Miró or sampling a starter by an Arturo Rhodes. The exceptional Art & Dine experience takes guests on a dynamic tour of the hotel’s most striking artworks, while being served exquisite food and drinks at every stop. Designed as an intimate and interactive dinner for all the senses, guests are accompanied to 5 different stations positioned close to art works. The menu is designed with art in mind, often referencing colours, favourite dishes of spanish artists, shapes of artworks found on the property, and other creative details that have inspired our Chef.

ART AND WINE

Go back in time to discover traditional winemaking in the heart of rural Mallorca, and embark on this exclusive visit to an off the beaten track organic winery steeped in history. Take a guided tour of Son Sureda Ric, by the oenologist and owner Javier Jara. End the tour with a red wine tasting in the stone-clad courtyard accompanied by home-made Mallorcan specialities. Javier and his lovely wife Carmè, the Marketing brain behind Son Sureda Ric, will treat you to an intimate Bossa Nova concert in the ancient chapel, where Javier will play the guitar and Carmè bewitches with her soothing voice.

SOUND HEALING - LIFE IS A SOUNDTRACK

Sound Healing is the application of healing frequencies to the physical and subtle energy fields around the body. These frequencies are delivered via vibrations and sounds of healing tools such as Tibetan singing bowls, quartz crystal bowls, native drum, didgeridoo, native flute, tuning forks, voices and more. In nature, the experience is expanded even further by the added harmonious sounds of nature. Come, lay down, close your eyes and experience the potent effects of the sound on your body and mind.
