Drawing Near to God Call to Worship (Responsive)

Come, let us gather together in the shadow of the Cross of Christ to remember the overwhelming evidence of God’s love.Let us gather together in the shadow of the Cross of Christ to remember the supreme sacrifice made for our salvation.Let us gather together in the shadow of the Cross of Christ until our hearts overflow with faith, hope, and the love and righteousness of Christ.

*Hymn of Praise #86 We Come, O Christ, to You Morning Prayer

Allowing God to Shape Us Call to Confession, Hymn #448, Verses 1 & 2 (Congregation Seated) Jesus I Come Prayer of Confession (Unison)

Holy God, to stand at the foot of the cross, to witness the suffering of your sinless Son, is to be humbled in a profound way. In humility, we open our hearts to you and admit to the truth of our lives: the fears that stifle us; the doubts that plague us; and the igno-rance and prejudice that blind us. Forgive us for the sin we have allowed to persist. Mend our hearts, torn apart by our unkindness, and give us the strength to amend our actions. Revive our spirits, downcast by the despair around us; enable us to see the world with new and gracious eyes; and grant us the courage to move to those places where love is needed. Bless us with the certainty that you are with us, and the faith that your grace awaits us. Amen.

Assurance of Pardon (Responsive) Friends, hear this Good News: the love and grace of God are beyond measure. Know that you are forgiven and empowered to love and to serve. Alleluia! Amen.

MEETING: Congregation Input on Kitchen Remodel Today Following Worship

Flourishing Churches Grant: This grant fund sought churches in financial need looking to update spaces that were used both by the community and for outreach into the community.  We felt the scope of the work we offered in our application fit into this category well.  Now that we have received the grant the hard work begins!

Through the years we have had many workers in the kitchen and we are looking for your input and feedback!  The consistory then has the responsibility to finalize and authorize implementation of the renovation plan. The grant funds need to be spent by August 2020.

Here are some questions for consideration as we begin to firm up the details of the kitchen remodel. If you cannot attend the meeting next week, please place this completed questionnaire in the basket on the back table or turn into the office before the 22nd.

With the remaining funds, we are hoping to complete the additional projects approved in the grant application including enclosing storage spaces, flooring for the stairwell and heating for the community/sunday school rooms.  It is also our hope to raise the necessary funding to replace all the flooring on this basement level.
