ION
Twenty mining claims were optioned from R.K, Fairservice of Kenora, Ontario according to an agreement signed on July 1, 1984. These claims cover the Lobstick Bay Flourite/gold occurrence. The claims are listed in Appendix I and shown on Fig.l.
Subsequent to the signing of the agreement a program of soil sampling and channel sampling was undertaken during the month of August 1984.
LOCATION AND ACCESS
The property is located on Lobstick Bay of Lake of the Woods approximately 55 kilometers southeast of Kenora and 7.5 kilometers east of Sioux Narrows (Fig. 2) within the Kenora Mining District of Ontario.
The property can be reached by the Mayburn road of Highway 72 or by boats .
REGIONAL GEOLOGY
The Lobstick Bay property lies in the middle of a 1.5 kilometer thick east-west trending belt of felsic metavolcanics (Berry River Formation) . This belt of metavolcanics is bordered to the north and south by clastic metasedimentary rocks of the Warclub Group. (See Fig. 2).
Mineral assemblages within the area indicate a regional metamorphic grade of upper-greenschist to lower amphibolite facies.
The property lies 3.5 kilometers north of the southeasterly trending Pipestone-Cameron Fault, a major structural lineament cutting through the area.
PROPERTY GEOLOGY
The fluorite/pyrite/gold mineralization is contained within one or a number of alteration zones hosted by felsic metavolcanic rocks, predominantly a quartz-feldspar (porphyry) tuff, with minor intercalated argillaceous meta- sediments.
The alteration zones trend between 90 - 100 and vary in width from 10- 50m. The zones have been traced over approximately 1200 metres. They consisted of quartz- sericite and sericite-quartz schists with varying amounts (2-15%) of disseminated pyrite. Minor constituents include biotite, garnet, tourmaline fluorite and locally a light green mica.
SUMMARY OF 1984 FIELD WORK
From an existing grid flagged lines were used to extend the average further west and fill in at 50 metre intervals over certain portions (Fig. 3).
- 2 -
A total of 681 "B" horizon soil samples were taken at a sample interval of 25 metres over the entire grid. These soil samples were geochemically analysed for Cu, Pb, Zn, Ag, Mo, F and Au by Bondar-Clegg of Ottawa. Selected results are plotted on the accompanying maps. A copy of all of the results as well as the analytical procedure are provided in Appendix II.
Only 28 samples yielded any gold values. Although fluorine values are quite high there was no apparent correlation between gold and fluorite values.
Lithogeochemistry
Three separate zones referred to as the Main Showing (A,B,C,D and E), Showing F and Showing G respectively were stripped and washed down with a Wajax pump. One hundred (100) channel samples varying between 0.5 and 1.0 metres in length were cut using a Partner 650 saw equipped with a circular diamond-tipped blade. Sixty-four (64) samples were taken from the main showing (strips A-EJ, fifteen (15) from showing F and twenty-one (21) from showing G.
The samples were submitted to Acme Analytical Laboratories Ltd. of Vancouver for geochemical ICP analysis. The thirty elements analysed for each sample as well as the analytical procedure are provided in Appendix III. Gold was analysed separately by the standard Fire-Assay-Atomic Absorption method.
Selected results are plotted on sketches of each of the three showings, (see Appendix III). The best values were from the main showing. Here a 2.5 metre interval averaged 2.1 g/t (0.06 oz/short ton). This included a 0.5m section which assayed 3.2 g/t (0.09 oz/short ton).
RECOMMENDATIONS
Further work including additional linecutting, magnetic surveying and geological mapping should be carried out. An I.P. (Induced Polarization) survey over selected areas is also recommended.

An examination of your survey report indicates that the requirements of The Ontario Mining Act have not been fully met to warrant maximum assessment work credits. This notice is merely a warning that you will not be allowed the number of assessment work days credits that you expected and also that in approximately 15 days from the above date, the mining recorder will be authorized to change the entries on his record sheets to agree with the enclosed statement. Please note that until such time as the recorder actually changes the entry on the record sheet, the status of the claim remains unchanged.
If you are of the opinion that these changes by the mining recorder will jeopardize your claims, you may during the next fifteen days apply to the Mining and Lands Commissioner for an extension of time. Abstracts should be sent with your application.
If the reduced rate of credits does not jeopardize the status of the claims then you need not seek relief from the Mining and Lands Commissioner and this Notice of Intent may be disregarded. ;
If your survey was submitted and assessed under the "Special Provision-Performance and Coverage" method and you are of the opinion that a re-appraisal under the "Man-days" method would, result in the approval of a greater number of days credit per claim, you may, within the said fifteen day period, submit assessment work breakdowns listing the employees names, addresses and the dates and hours they worked. The new work breakdowns should be submitted direct to the Land Management Branch, Toronto. The report will be re-assessed and a new statement of credits based on actual days worked will be issued.
