From the Editors Welcome to Week 7 of Semester 2! We made it to reading week everyone so congratulations!! Most of you will be busy with mid-semester exams this week, and that last all-nighter rushing towards that 4pm deadline is undoubtedly the period where you swap between feeling super productive and bashing out 1500 words of pure genius in two hours and that feeling you get when you think to yourself “30% isn’t that much… It’s ok if I gun the finals right?” (but you should ignore these thoughts and focus on typing out an essay of pure genius) We wish you luck in all your endeavours this week and most importantly, be sure not to miss LAW REVUE which is showing this week from Tuesday to Friday!! DEMYSTIFYING CONSULTING WORKSHOP
"What is management consulting about?" An introduction to the life of a management consultant. Curious about management consulting, but not sure what it really is? On Thursday 27 September, BCG Sydney is holding a 'Demystifying Consulting' workshop for students to answer this question and more. During the half-day workshop, you will meet BCG consultants, learn about their experiences and hear what management consulting entails. The workshop includes a session on communications and presence skills by a former NIDA trainer, and the opportunity to live the case experience in a session run by BCG Associates (people like you who were recruited by BCG on graduation). Drinks, nibbles and a relaxed atmosphere are all part of the package! Places are limited so we invite you to submit your CV to Mary Katergaris at [email protected] by no later than Monday 17 September. Successful submissions will be notified by email.

AURORA NATIVE TITLE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
Applications Applications for the summer 2012/13 round of internships will be accepted online via our website between 9am AEDT Monday 6th August through to 5pm AEDT Friday 31st August 2012. More information For more information and to apply please visit our website here. A full account of the research into NTRBs and recommendations that led to the establishment of the Program can be found at here. Insight from recent intern at Aurora – Hamish Sinclair Participating in the Aurora Project internship program was a unique and invaluable learning experience. I chose to work in a boutique commercial firm specialising in public interest litigation and some pro bono work. The internship exposed me to litigation, civil procedure, legal research and policy analysis, which helped put my coursework into perspective. I would strongly recommend interning through the Aurora Project to anyone looking for practical legal experience or a flavour of native title issues beyond what is explored in property law classes.
