TRAMPOLINING AND DMTActivity Leader: Miss Jeffrey (+ Specialist Coaches from City Of Edinburgh Trampoline Club)

Come on, you should know what this one involves!


• 2 full days of trampolining and training atKnox using 4 school trampolines!

(numbers permitting)

• 2 days of trampolining at Lasswade or

Meadowmill on full-size world competition

standard trampolines!

• Taster of Double-Mini Trampoline (DMT)

CYCLE EAST LOTHIANActivity Leader: Miss Easson, Mr Young


Monday morning will include a bike maintenance checkwhere we will ensure our bikes are roadworthy and ready

for a week of touring round our beautiful county.

We will do a short run on Monday afternoon to get our

“bike legs”.

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will see us touring 20 –

25 miles per day at a leisurely pace using railway tracks

and quiet B and C class roads. We aim to explore coastal

and rural routes stopping for lunch in local beauty spots.

We will be accompanied by a trained and qualified

cycle leader who will ensure safety at all times.

to cover maintenance, entry fees,

refreshments.

A calm but energetic four days in store - if you think you are capable of being

on the next Ryder Cup Tour, this is for you.

Test your wit, skill and determination when enjoying four days of outdoor

activities in and around Haddington.

JEWELLERY MAKING

Activity leader: Mrs Moore

Are you feeling creative? Would you like to make your own jewellery includingworking with silver and a course at the Beadshop?


• Silver jewellery: Design and make an item of silver

jewellery such as a bangle, bracelet or ring (one and half

day project).

• Jewellery Workshop: 2 hour workshop at the Beadshop

then back to complete your piece of silver jewellery.

• Aluminium jewellery: Try acid etching and roll printing

texture on to aluminium.

• Recycled jewellery: Have a go at dry felting, making

your own felt creature. Lastly to finish off the week you

can experiment making jewellery from salvaged

materials such as drinks cans.

ACTIVITY : SCIENCE EXPLORERActivity Leader: A Jappy


A day visit to the “Secret Bunker” where you will

discover the steps taken to protect the chosen few,

which could have survived a nuclear war.

Discover the diverse range of wildlife that exists on the

Forth islands.

Experience the wide range of organisms found under the

sea around Scotland’s shores.

Learn how Scientists use genetic engineering to produce

and analyse different substances we use in our dailylives.

Minimum of 10 pupils required.
