1 INTRODUCTION This Documentation Requirement List forms part of the Sentinel-2 Statement Of Work “S2-SW-ESA-SY-0001” (it constitutes its Appendix B) and specifies a minimal list of Satellite level or key lower level documents to be delivered to the Agency during the Sentinel-2 Phase-B2/C/D/E1. The following information is provided for each document:

• A document mnemonic that can be called upon within other documents, such as in the SoW corpus.

• The Document category as defined in the GMES Sentinel-2 Management Requirements (S2-RS-ESA-SY-0007):

o A: To be formally approved by the Agency as a strict condition to authorise the Contractor work associated to this document.

o R: To be reviewed by the Agency. The Agency requests to review these documents such as feedback can be provided to the Contractor to update these documents prior to execute the tasks driven by this document.

• The Document title • The Document delivery/re-deliveries Project milestones • Some remarks relevant to specific documents, as relevant

The content for each DRL document is specified within the “GMES Sentinel-2 Phase B2/CD/E1 Documents Requirements Description” (S2-RS-ESA-SY-0003).

2 REQUIREMENTS

2.1 Documents format All DRL documents shall be delivered to the Agency in electronically generated and native searchable PDF format (scanned pages only accepted for hand written documents, e.g. minutes of meetings, and in specific cases where no original electronic version of the document is available, like in the case of very old documentation). Furthermore, PDF documents must have their Table Of Content (TOC), where present, available as PDF bookmarks. On Agency’s request (e.g. when portion of documentation needs to be imported in Customer's documentation), the Contractor shall also deliver the native word/excel version of the documents, even though it is understood that the only contractually binding document will remain the pdf version. All drawings shall be generally provided in A3 PDF format, with additional A0 format for very large drawings (e.g. grounding diagrams, command and control synoptics, etc...). In addition, one paper copy shall also be delivered for all drawings. Where mentioned in the DRL, on-line access to real time up-to-date electronic data base or spreadsheet is additionally required (e.g. for NCR’s). The Agency will inform the Contractor at the Phase B2 KO about the address/location to be used for the delivery of all electronic and paper documentation. In case of reviews, the Contractor shall deliver: • For Satellite reviews, 10 paper copies and 50 sets of CD/DVD • For Instrument reviews, 5 paper copies and 30 sets of CD/DVD • For lower level (S/S, equipment) reviews, 2 paper copies and 10 sets of CD/DVD The Review Data package shall be distributed at least two weeks prior to the Review presentation by the Contractor or Sub-Contractor. Any additional specific delivery request is indicated directly within the DRL.

2.2 Sentinel-2 documentation completeness The current list of documents identified by the Agency and called upon within the Statement Of Work shall be reviewed and completed as necessary by the Contractor before the Satellite PDR, this to ensure:

• That all Sentinel-2 Satellite development activities that pertain to the fulfilment of the Agency baseline requirements are properly documented.

• That the final list of documents to be agreed at Sentinel-2 PDR is consistent with the

Contractor Sentinel-2 Specification and Plan Tree (an update of the Agency DRL will be frozen at Sentinel-2 PDR time).

2.3 Sentinel-2 restricted information For Security related documents, generation and delivery within the Sentinel-2 consortium and to the Agency shall be made in accordance with the ESA Security Regulations Part I and Part II, forming part of the reference documents to the Statement of Work. Several documents or part-of are already identified within this DRL as “restricted”. It may be possible that this requirement for classified information has to be enlarged to other documents not yet identified as such within the current version of the DRL. This extension if necessary to meet the Sentinel-2 security concept shall be part of the Contractor baseline work.

2.4 Sentinel-2 documents deliveries and classification The milestones and document categories used in this DRL are as follows: BID = Sentinel-2 Phase B2/C/D/E1 Proposal Phase B2 K.O. = Sentinel-2 Phase-B2/C/D/E1 Kick-Off PDR = Sentinel-2 Preliminary Design Review Phase C/D/E1 K.O. = Sentinel-2 Phase C/D/E1 Kick-Off CDR = Sentinel-2 Critical Design Review QR = Sentinel-2 Qualification Review FAR = Sentinel-2 Flight Acceptance Review IOCR = Sentinel-2 In orbit Commissioning Review The Contractor shall issue some Sentinel-2 documents identified in the DRL as an output of a configured and controlled Data Base tool. These documents are marked with the symbol “DB” in the

column “Remark”. The Contractor shall grant remote computer access, such as the Agency is able at any time to access up-to-date information between two formal document releases. The DRL structures the Sentinel-2 documents requested for delivery by the Agency along the following eleven families:

• PM: Sentinel-2 Project Management • SY: Sentinel-2 System Engineering (including verification) • GS: Ground Segment • SA: Sentinel-2 Satellite (including platform and payload module functions, all deliverables

specified in the SoW, exception made for the GSE covered under AIT) • IF: Sentinel-2 Satellite Internal and External Interfaces • SS: Sentinel-2 Satellite Engineering Support Specifications • DR: Sentinel-2 Satellite Drawings • MS: Sentinel-2 MultiSpectral Instrument • FI: Sentinel-2 FIRE Instrument (currently limited to its interface definition – see option in

Special Tender conditions) • AV: Sentinel-2 Satellite AIT (including GSE aspects) • PA: Sentinel-2 Product and Quality Assurance

The Contractor shall respond to the DRL ensuring completeness and consistency of his documentation with the families of documents defined above.
