It’s easy to see that Santa Clarita residents love their pets! The City’s dog parks --Central Bark and Canine Country-- are alive with the City’s four-legged residents. It’s great that we have so many furry friends in the SCV, but besides being unsightly and smelly, animal waste can cause water pollution in our storm drains and the Santa Clara River.

When walking your dog in the community, remember to clean up after your pet. Take along a baggie with you to pick up waste, tie it up, and then put it into a trash can. By taking a few simple steps to clean up after your pet, you can help keep our City beautiful and keep our water clean. Also, remember at home, pet waste doesn’t go into the recycling or green waste carts…only the trash cart!

Do Your Doody, pick up after your pet!
