HOW ELECTRICITY IS WASTED?????
USING ZERO WATT BULBS AS IT USES 12 TO 15 W POWER.
USING A/C BELOW 240C
USING WASHING MACHINE DAILY.
Using traditional more power con-suming elec-trical appliances.
BulbTube lights
No one in the classroom but lights are on.
Similarly, no one in the library but the lights are
on.
NO one in the digital library but computers and lights are on.
No one using pc at computer labs even then monitors are not turned off
Using standby mode for :- TelevisionDVDcomputers
By opening of refrigerators frequently.
Irregularity in service of re-frigerator , A/C , washing ma-
chine etc.
So what can we do to save electricity???
While appliances are off
DID YOU KNOW???40% of electricity is conserved
BE RESPONSIBLE
UNPLUG APPLIANCES when not in use
Switch off! Don’t leave it on standby!
If you can see a light like this when the TV is off, it is using almost as much energy as if it was on!
You can turn off the lights when you don’t need them!
TURN OFF THE LIGHTS
When you leave room
Replace your incandescent bulbs with
compact flourescent light bulbs or led

Use good wiring, as old wiring needs to be changed at least in 10 years.
Instead of using electric geyser use gas geyser…..
Instead of using vacuum cleaners twice or thrice in a month, use them only once in a month.
Minimize use of microwaves, ovens, mixers grinder, etc.
Do not use washing machines daily, collect clothes for two to three days and then use the washing machine.
USE STAR RATED APPLIANCES……
Don’t let devices to be charged whole night
IF YOUR COMPUTER MUST BE LEFT ON, TURN OFF THE MONITOR; THIS DEVICE ALONE USES MORE THAN HALF THE SYSTEM'S ENERGY.
Use an electric kettle to heat water. It's more energy efficient than using an electric cook top element.
Iron your clothes and linen all in one go. Do not keep a hot iron which is switched in an upright position for long period since more heat will be lost.
Install solar panels at homes and offices to produce large amount of electricity….
AWARENESS SHOULD BE SPREAD.
National ENERGY STAR® Program
Energy Star (trademarked ENERGY STAR) is an international standard for energy efficient consumer products originated in the United States of America.
Devices carrying the Energy Star service mark, such as computer products and peripherals, kitchen appliances, buildings and other products, generally use 20%–30% less energy than required .
Reducing electricity consumption saves money and reduces C02 and other pollutants.
Some measures may seem trivial, however, collectively they all add up.
