1. Crimp a Straight Cable
Skin off the cable jacket.
Untwist and straighten eachwire.
Arrange the wires according tothe 568B wiring schematic orderfor both ends.
Cut and insert the wires into aRJ45 connector.
Crimp the cable using acrimping tool.
(assessment done on final product)
Crimpedstraight and
crossed cables.
At least 1 meter of UTPcable is recommended.
Candidate may refer to
the wiring schematicmanual in the LearningModule.
The cables must belabelled and kept in asafe place

2. Check the straight cable iscrimped successfully using acable tester.

1. Crimp a Crossed Cable
Skin off the cable jacket. Untwist and straighten each
wire.
Arrange the wires according to
the 568A wiring schematic orderfor one end AND 568B wiringschematic order for the otherend.
Cut and insert the wires into aRJ45 connector.
Crimp the cable using crimpingtool.
(assessment done on final product)
