SLOW FOOD & MICHEL ROUX JRFebruary 26 201 3 | by Charlie Barnett
Calling all food connoisseurs and
Michel Roux Jr enthusiasts for an
unforgettable evening, which will
leave your palette immersed, and your
stomachs satiated. Slow Food &
Michel Roux Jr have teamed up to
bring you a five course dinner delight.
On 19 March 2013, Roux at Parliament
Square and Slow Food UK have teamed
up to create a unique culinary
experience, hosted by the one and only
MasterChef himself Michel Roux Jr.
For one night only, the evening will
host ‘Forgotten Foods’ with a five-
course menu.
The ideal mother’s day gift, the
evening will begin at 7pm with canapés
and organic sparkling wine reception
with a menu prepared by Roux at
Parliament Square Head Chef Steve Groves, winner of MasterChef the Professionals 2009.
At £150 per head, you will be served a five course meal with glass of organic wine with each
course as well as coffee and petits fours. From salad of crispy Middle White pork and Poached
Colchester Oyster with apple horseradish to Montgomery Cheddar mousse with pickled
onions and heritage carrots, oat cracker crumb as well as Herdwick Hogget, butternut squash,
Lincolnshire pink onions and Vanilla custard tart, crumble, poached Yorkshire forced
rhubarb to finish, you will be bursting at the sides by the end of the evening.
Slow Food helps people think differently about food, helping to encourage nutritious options
from sustainable and local sources. The non-profit organisation is about reconnecting with
food and thinking before you eat, helping to raise awareness about forgotten foods which
maybe at the risk of extinction and environmental degradation.
For bookings please call 020 7334 3737 or email [email protected].
