ST. MARY’S ORGAN FUND!St. Mary’s Parish is proud of its longstanding commitment to quality music for our liturgical celebration. Our Sunday Masses, weddings, funerals, Christmas & Easter would not be such faithfilled and joyfilled celebrations without music and without the organ.!!

History!Thirty years ago the people of St. Mary’s made a significant com-mitment to grow our music program with the decision to build a pipe organ for the church. The Berkshire Organ Company was chosen to build a pipe organ for St. Mary’s, but the business was closed following the death of its owner. The Austin Organ Com-pany literally “picked up the pieces” and continued the building project until its completion. Because of the false start with the original firm, the cost of completing the organ was considerably more than the parish had anticipated. The decision was made to use a lesser quality electronic control system in order to save money with the hole that a higher quality console would replace it in the future. Now, many years later, the time has come for us to update the electronic system and replace the organ console.!!

Fundraising Efforts!Over the course of the last 5 years through generous memorial gifts and contributions, we have raised $50,000. The parish fi-nance committee also set aside and dedicated $50,000 to cover the cost. Another $30,000 was raised in November as the Adult Choir, Liturgy Committee, Staff, Cantors, Musicians, Friends and Family gathered at a special Organ Fundraiser honoring Rick Vacca.!!

How blessed we are as a parish to have had Rick Vacca as our Director of Liturgical Music for the past 25+ years! Join us for cake on Sunday, February11th after the 11:00 Mass as our parish family continues to celebrate Rick’s 25+ years at St. Mary’s. Or-gan fund contribution envelopes will also be available. Hope to see you there!!

NEW PARISHIONERS!!

We extend a warm welcome to the following people who joined St. Mary’s parish during the month of January: Andrew and Ni-cole Caola, Conor and Mary Beth Cashman, Dan Desjardin and Amanda Shaw, Derek Hubbard and Elizabeth Shea, Brennan and Colleen Powers, James Powers and Melissa Pelley, and Brent Smith.!

WELCOME TABLE!!

If you are a new parishioner, we are very glad to welcome you to St. Mary’s. In the coming months we hope that you will take time to GET REGISTERED ... GET CONNECTED ... and GET IN-VOLVED. Parishioners involved in our Welcoming Ministry are here to help you in any way we can.!!

To register in the parish, you may call or stop by the Pastoral Center and Kerry, the parish secretary, will help you. You can also register online at the parish website at!www.stmarysparish.org.!
