Dear young friends,

To me an educational institute is just not an institute made

up of bricks, mortars, and concrete but a place that builds a

character, enlighten minds, and give a lifetime experience.

The total student strength of our college is around 1000

together with six departments, and a decent library, we all

direct our efforts to match the expectations of each and

every student, by the way of enabling them to participate in

various activities like seminars, workshops, paper

presentations etc. in and out of the institution. Our College

also provides additional facilities like Gymnasium Hall, Bus

Facility for transportation, Generator Back-Up facility,

Internet Facility, Stress relieving facility, Seminar Hall,

Hostel for boys with a capacity over 500 and for girls with a

capacity over 400, a decent in-house mess at reasonable cost

that provides hygienic and tasty food with a seating capacity

of 200 students at a time, quarters for Principal and Staff,

huge playgrounds, separate canteen, and a facility centre

that includes a saloon, a dispensary, a beauty parlor,

students cooperative stores, a grocery shop, a juice and ice-

cream centre and an open Amphi-theatre.

I would also like to mention proudly that my institution has

planned to go for NBA accreditation process. Our College

also has Student's Council Forum whose members are all

topper students from various branches. College also has

well established T&P Section that strives for best placement

for desiring students. The institution has taken a great leap

in the past three years and the results are encouraging and

amazing.

College has excellent track record for extracurricular

activities in order to inculcate the sense of social obligation.

­The Ragging is totally banned and anyone found guilty of ragging and/or abetting ragging is liable to be punished by law and may lead to cancellation of admission (F.No.37-3/Legal/AICTE/2009)

­Every single incident of ragging a First Information Report (FIR) will be filed without exception by the institutional authorities with the local police authorities.

­Ragging is strictly prohibited as per law. College takes all the measures to curb the incidences of ragging through continuous vigilance and counseling with anti-ragging cell, vigilance squad and SWAAD Committee.

­Any student found convicted of an offence under the ordinance will be punished as per Maharashtra Prohibition Act of Ragging 1999 and as per the directives by AICTE and Honorable supreme court from time to time.

­It is Compulsory to submit affidavit against ragging by student and parent/guardian as per clause - 5, subclause - 3,4 of AICTE regulations (formats available on college website)

Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering envisages the development, design, manufacturing and maintenance of the machinery. The present age demands Mechanical Engineering specialists who have the capacity of adaptability and creativity in the new technical areas. Development is root of any nation's growth and as India is a Developing county, there is large scope for industrial changes. To cater this need the Mechanical engineering Department with highly qualified and experienced staff has been setup. Staff members are engaged in bringing out the technical & intellectual skills of students by arranging technical seminars, industrial visits & quiz competitions designing softwares etc. Department has spacious CAD-CAM lab with advanced designing software. The department has a well-equipped workshop that caters to the need of the entire college. As a result of collaborative effort by the Staff, Management & Placement cell, Mechanical department has placed the students of third year in different MNC's during the academic year 2011-12 and this trend will be continued successively.

The College workshop has spacious and light roof truss type ceiling with sufficient height and good ventilation. The fully computerized Central Library of SBPP is a treasure house of knowledge comprises ever growing collection of 10,000 volumes (over 1500 titles)and volumes of journals both national and international subscribed by the college over the years. technology. It is the branch of engineering, which provides basic

amenities required for the survival and maintenance of the environment

due to its fast deterioration. At present India is undergoing a rapid

development in urban & rural area and there is a tremendous need of

technically equipped and qualified civil engineers. It has now

Electrical Engineering is one of the most thriving sectors in the Indian

Economy. The work of electrical engineers has become pervasive in our society,

forming the foundation of computing and Information technologies. The

Department is modernizing its laboratories so as to provide its students hands

on experience on Electrical and Electronic hardware. The government has

planned to enhance the generation of electrical power by 10,000 MW per

annum. Keeping this the huge employment potential in mind, we have

introduced Electrical branch. The curriculum set for this course is such a way

that the student will acquire knowledge in Electrical as well as Electronic

subjects. In these labs we have different types of DC motors, DC generators,

single phase and three phase transformers, single phase and three phase

motors, alternators etc. Different types of Analog and Digital instruments are

also available for practicals.

Gymkhana

Realizing the fact that physical fitness leads to fit mind, thats why our

institute provides all sports facilities to the students & conducts annual

sports events. Also inter-campus sports tournaments are being organized by

our Institute. SBPP has been keen in providing sufficient time and facilities

for sports and gymnasium. The Gymnasium is equipped with the nine

station gym, vibrator, and rowing machine. The facilities for indoor games

like table-tennis, carom, and chess are available here. Volleyball, basketball,

badminton courts as well as cricket, kho-kho and kabaddi grounds makes

the gymkhana not less than a sports complex.

One of the major concerns of parents about their wards is the facility of stay

and food. SBPP promise parental care of students residing in the hostel. The

500 students and 300 girl students can be accommodated in the girls hostel.

Mess ensures quality food and reverse osmosis system is installed for

drinking water. Hot water through solar system is provided at every floor.

Uninterrupted power supply is provided with the help of generator.

Stringent security and discipline norms are induced to avoid any ill

elements to enter the campus. Incoming telephone facility at every hostel

adds to the convenience of parents. Hostel Staff staying in each hostel

building helps to maintain study atmosphere in the hostel campus.

Dispensary in the campus takes care of preliminary medical treatment.

Beautiful green campus of hostel makes their every morning wishful and

evening memorable.

The Institute has a well- developed Central Computing Center. The Center

extends all support for computing services. 30 Core 2 duo machines,

licensed software's and allied equipments make it a resourceful node of

service. It also looks after the hardware maintenance, Wi-Fi Campus wide

networking and Round the clock internet facility of 4 MBPS of BSNL.

Hostel & Mess

The S. B. Patil Facility Center caters to the needs right from stationery and

cutlery items to cosmetics and uniform dress material. Educational aids like

calculators and drafters are made available through an educational kit and

loose as well. A student can rely on these stores for his every requirement.

The freshers especially feel relieved as they receive kits of bedding and

educational aids. Canteen is the place that collegians love most. The good

canteen facility is available to the students & staff members of the institute.
