INDUCTION PROGRAM “RHYTHM 2015”

3January 26, 2016: S. B. Patil Institute of Management had organized the fifth Institute Parents Partnership Program (IP ) for the thacademic year 2015-2016 on 26 January from 9.30 am to 12.00 pm . The main purpose of meet was to create a common platform,

where teacher and parents come together to enrich the student's educational experiences, future career and discuss variety of issues,

regarding all round development of students.

YUVOTSAV 2016 - “S.B. PATIL KARANDAK”th th thSBPIM had organized an intercollegiate sports event Yuvotsav-2016 on 28 , 29 & 30 January in the college premises. Colleges in

and around Pune region were invited for the event. The event – Yuvotsav-2016 consisted of Inter-Collegiate Football Tournament.

SBPIM got a very good response for the event, 32 teams were registered.

The Chief Guest who graced the inaugural function was Shri. Shakur Sayed (Director, Physical Education, MUCC, Pimpri), Guest

of Honour – Hon. Shri. Bhaizan Kazi (Trustee, PCET), Dr. Daniel Penkar (Director, S.B.Patil Institute of Management) welcomed

& addressed the participants for Yuvotsav - 2016.

The winner for Football was D. Y. Patil A.C & S.College Pimpri, & Indira College Tathawade, bagged the Runner up prize. MIT ndAlandi emerged as the 2 Runner up prize for Football.

The winners were awarded trophies, cash prizes worth Rs.24443/- and Gift vouchers.

All the referees, chief co-coordinators and volunteers were duly felicitated. The whole event was a grand success.

year students the speaker for the session was Mr. Rahul Patil, Team Leader,

A Career Guidance session was conducted by Mr.Ajay Mallarpurkar, MD,

Earnest HR on August 8, 2015. He started the session with introducing

himself and the career paths he has chosen in life. He explained about the

on Positive Attitude Building- College to Corporate by Group Captain (Retd)

Ashwani Bhakoo on September 12, 2015. He is recipient of “Vishesh Seva

Medal”. Group Captain Ashwani Bhakoo was the active warrior in the Kargil

War. He said our soldiers and commanders fought in Kargil war showed

higher degree of motivation and dedication for the country and their devotion

is remarkable and we should get inspiration from them. The soldiers were that

much dedicated to win the battle, they wrote some heart touching messages to

their near and dear ones. Group captain Ashwani Bhakoo read out some of

the messages.

SBPIM organized a Guest Lecture on “Automotive New Product thDevelopment" on Thursday, 25 February 2016. Mr. Bhimraj Khachane,

FRESHER'S EVE

ndMBA 2 year students of SBPIM had organized a sumptuous fresher's eve for

their juniors, aptly called a Freshers' Eve. The party was organized on

September 13, 2015. The fresher's eve began with a difference with pulsating

ambience, flashing lights and foot tapping music. As the mercury began to rise,

the dance floor was left open for some unbridled exuberance. Colors of joy,

happiness, togetherness could be seen in students as well as faculty members.

The fascinating outcome of this event is that every “fresher” to SBPIM feels

like an integral part of SBPIM family.

ZING - 2016 THE CULTURAL FEST

th th15 to 19 February 2016 marks the celebration of Zing -The Cultural Fest-2016 at PCET's S.B. Patil Institute of Management,

SPORTS WEEK 2016“SPORTS DO NOT BUILD CHARACTER. THEY REVEAL IT”

th th Sports Week – 2016 was organized on 9 and 10 February 2016 at S. B. Patil Institute of Management. Sports week included both

indoor and outdoor games were arranged to encourage active participation of students. “Sports” are the great source of inspiration,

it nurtures various Nobel values like sportsman's spirit, honesty, punctuality, regularity, team spirit, leadership, obedience integrity

and with relation to management it teaches us team building, motivation, leadership coordination amongst individuals. The sports

week at SBPIM was entirely designed, managed & executed by students under the supervision of faculty sports coordinators. It

served the purpose of management learning through sports activities. Qualities like leadership, team player etc. were showcased by

students. Sports week included sports like “Cricket, Basket Ball, Football, Volleyball, Throw ball, Table Tennis, Chess and Carom”.

Research Head & Prof. Aishwarya Gopalakrishnan, SIP & Dissertation Co-Ordinator. Dr. Daniel Penkar started the session

by saying that our institute takes a great pride in having a lecture on SIP because SBPIM is the only institute that conducts such

an activity and because of which many of the students from previous batches have won many prizes for preparing and
