Stage  1:  Requisition  Creation  &  Sourcing    

   This   section   will   outline   Stage   1   of   the   Virtual   Edge  Recruitment  Process—Requisition  Creation  &  Sourcing.      Requisition   Creation   &   Sourcing   are   critical   for   a   recruiter  because  they  provide  an  understanding  of  how  a  requisition  is  created  and  applicable  candidate  talent  is  sourced.      In   this   section   the   user   will   get   familiarized   with   the  information  pertaining  to:  

i. Creating  a  requisition.  ii. Reviewing  a  requisition.  iii. In-­‐taking  a  call  with  the  hiring  manager.  iv. Opening  the  requisition.  v. Job  Posting.    

This   section   also   provides   the   user   information   and  instructions  with  regards  to:

Stage  2:  Interview  Setting  &  Completion    

   This   section   will   outline   Stage   2   of   the   Virtual   Edge  Recruitment  Process—Interview  Setting  &  Completion.      Interview  Setting  &  Completion  are   important   for  a   recruiter  in   order   to   understand   the   process   for   scheduling   and  conducting  an  interview  in  Virtual  Edge.      In   this   section   the   user   will   get   familiarized   with   the  information  pertaining  to:      

i. Forwarding   resumes   to   hiring   managers   via  the  applicant  tracking  system.  

ii. Formal  outline  of  the  interview  process.    iii. Dispositioning  candidates  post  interview.

   This   section   will   outline   Stage   3   of   the   Virtual   Edge  Recruitment  Process—Background  Check  &  MVR.      Background  Check  &  MVR  are  critical  for  a  recruiter  to  ensure  that  the  candidate  under  consideration   is  a  proper   fit   for   the  position  and  Ryder  System,  Inc.      In   this   section   the   user   will   get   familiarized   with   the  processes  pertaining  to:    

i. Initiating   specific   vendor   services   at   the  appropriate  time.    

ii. Compliance  policies.  iii. Best  practices.  iv. Frequently  asked  questions.    v. Additional   reference   materials   to   help   the  

user   successfully   navigate   throughout   this  stage  of  the  process.

   This   section   will   outline   stage   4   of   the   Virtual   Edge  Recruitment  Process—Offer  Management.      Offer   Management   provides   the   recruiter   with   the   tools  necessary  to  discuss  verbal  and  written  offers  with  the  various  parties   involved   in   the   recruitment   process   (i.e.   candidate,  hiring  manager,  etc…).      In   this   section   the   user   will   get   familiarized   with   the  processes  pertaining  to:    

i. The  creation  of  the  offer  letter  ii. The  parties  involved  in  the  approval  process    iii. Further  reference  materials  including:  

a. Specific  scenarios  b. Details

   This   section   will   outline   stage   5   of   the   Virtual   Edge  Recruitment  Process—Drug  Test  &  Boarding.      Drug   Test   &   Boarding   are   imperative   to   ensure   that   the  recruiter   has   completed   all   of   the   stages   in   the   recruiting  process  flow,  required  to  board/hire  the  applicant  in  order  to  close  the  requisition.      In   this   section   the   user   will   get   familiarized   with   the  processes  pertaining  to:  

i. Initiating  a  Drug  Screen  a. This   section   outlines   instructions   on   which   drug  

screen  is  ordered.  b. At  which  point   in  the  process  and  the  policies  that  

govern  it.    ii. The   specific   steps   taken   to   board   a  

candidate.    iii. Reference  documents  are  provided  as  well  as  

best  practices   to  help  with   frequently  asked  questions.

   This   section   will   outline   Stage   6   of   the   Virtual   Edge  Recruitment  Process—Post  Boarding  to  Start.      Post  Boarding   to  Start  provides  guidance   for   the   recruiter  on  necessary   steps   after   a   candidate   has   been   boarded   to   until  they  start.      In   this   section   the   user   will   get   familiar   with   the  processes  pertaining  to:  

i. Closing  the  requisition.  ii. Checking  your  work  and  ensuring  compliance  

to  our  process.      A  review  of  the  Quickglance  Checklist   is  one  of  the  key  points   of   this   section   and   is   intended   as   a   reference  guide  for  all  recruitment  parties  involved  in  the  process.
