History
• Russian Pen Club was open at Kucera Middle School on 10/6/07.
• Club started with 12 members. • Now club has 40 members.• Club has 15 Pen Pals from Russia.• Members meetings are held twice a week.• At the end of each year, we sponsor a
special event.

Club is a club of students who want to have friends from different countries, (2006, p. 1)
Traditions
• One of the Russian traditions: Women wear traditional Russian clothes. They meet guests with bread and salt to show hospitality. (Auch A., 2002, p. 13)
Russian Art
• For Easter people in Russia decorate eggs by hand. These are eggs decorated by the club members.
Russian Easter
• On April 25, 2008 we celebrated Russian Easter at Kucera Middle School. The costumes students created by themselves.
Dance• During the year, students
of the Russian Pen Club learn some of the Russian dances.
• Students present Russian women dance called, “Willow.”
• Through the dance people have expressed their feelings. (E. Ryabko, 1984, p. 38)
