This film tells us three stories about men extracting natural gas in Bovanen-kovo on the Yamal Peninsula. There the pipeline «Nord Stream» starts from. There are also three heroes - young assistant driller, successful boiler room chief engineer and old plumber. For all of them working in Gazprom is the only opportunity to earn real money because there is no high paid job in their hometowns so they are forced to leave their families for a long time to be able to support them. They have to decide whether earned money is worth all the problems with families. Each of them make s his own choice.

TRACES IN THE SNOWThe world’s first documentary about Siberia’s punk rock scene in the 1980s. It was a phenomenon of those times that this music existed thousands of miles away from the movement’s epicentres in New York and London. The documentary uses rare footage of Siberian punk legends including the punk poet and songwriter Yanka Dyagileva and the controversial godfather of Russian punk Yegor Letov.

To obtain public support, Russian producer of the film project should obtain the status of "National film". This status allows using the privilege of exemption from VAT (18%). For submission of documents for public support, the projects should not have the status of "National film", but must meet the requirements for this status. The status can be granted after the decision has been made for project support. The status of "National film" must be obtained before the project financing starts.

THE FOLLOWING FILM PROJECTS CAN OBTAIN THE STATUS OF "NATIONAL FILM":• Co-production film projects with those countries which the Russian Federation has signed international

co-production agreements (Bulgaria, France, Italy, Canada, Germany and CIS countries);• Co-production film projects with the participating countries of the European Convention on Co-Production;• Other projects meet with conditions of the Federal Law #126 dated August 22, 1996 On State Support of

Conditions for obtaining the status of "National film" in accordance with the Federal Law #126 dated August 22, 1996 On State Support of Cinematography in the Russian Federation:

Public support for documentary film production in the Russian Federation is carried out by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. The public funding of film production under the Russian law may not ex-ceed 70% of the estimated value of its budget. In specific cases, taking into account the artistic and cultural significance of the film project could be decided about the public funding for ‘’National film’’ up to 100%.

• The film producer is a Russian Federation citizen or a legal person duly registered in the Russian Federation;• The majority of the film authors are citizens of the Russian Federation;• The film crew (production directors, photography directors, cameramen, soundmen, artistic directors,

costume designers, film editors and leader actors) includes no more than 30% of people that do not have Russian Federation citizenship;

• The film is shot in Russian or other languages of the people of the Russian Federation, excluding cases when usage of a foreign language is an integral part of the artistic concept;

• Not less than 50% of the total volume of work on film production at estimated prices for film production;• distribution and exhibition is performed by cinematography organizations duly registered in the Russian

Federation;• Foreign investment in film production does not exceed 50% of the estimated cost of the film.

Documentary Film Center (DFC) is the first Russian cinema hall for documentary films and a brand new cultural and educational venue. This cinema hall is a per-fect place for screenings, thematic lectures, workshops and film festivals. DFC organizes Russian premiere of top documentary films. We usually work di-rectly with international sales and distribution companies (Cinephil, Go2Films, Autlook, Rise and Shine, Dogwoof). Also DFC started recently to work as inde-pendent buying and distribution company.

The Russian Documentary Guild is the only professional organization in Russia, which unites filmmakers and television workers (more than 250 members and production studios from all over Russia) specializing in documentary and pop-ular-science films, documentary TV programs and news coverage. The primary Guild’s projects are International distribution of Russian documentaries under the RGDOC brand, development of the National DOC-club Network and the Na-tional Documentary Rating.

Moscow Co-production Forum is the main event of MOSCOW BUSINESS SQUARE - business platform of the 37th Moscow International Film Festival. This is the only large-scale international event for film business professionals in Russia.

This year we are scouting for up to 20 co-production projects from all parts of the world.

PROJECT CRITERIA:· Fiction, documentary or transmedia projects with a minimum length of 70 minutes;· Project has to be at the Scenario stage or Pre-production stage;· The project has to have high potential for international distribution;· By the moment of submission, producer and director have to be attached to the project;· The project has to prove that 20% of financing is already secured.

The studio was established in Moscow in 2008 with its focus on the production and promotion of the independent documentary filmmaking. The inaugural internation-al project UNEMPLOYED, a co-production with the Polish company Eureka Media, was completed in 2009. The feature film LINAR was released in 2013, success-fully screened and awarded internationally. Currently, Albatross is working on the post-production of the ARCTIC ALCHEMY, a documentary road movie, which was shot in the USA and Canada.

April filmlab is an independent film company. Its main goal is to work in the co-pro-duction field. The company produces documentaries as well as fiction films. The team always sets itself a target to make films with high artistic values. The last film it produced is PERM-36. REFLEXION, documentary, 70 min, 2017, Russia (on post-pro-duction).

The company specializes in production of documentary films both for TV and cre-ative documentary industry. Based both in Moscow, Russia and Bilbao, Spain the company provides unique co-production possibilities in Russia. The focus of the company is current affairs and social issues documentaries about Russia. The list of completed projects includes more than 30 hi-end documentaries both for TV and theatrical release.

Author studio is an independent film company. The studio is primarily concerned with auteur cinema. Its main goal is work in the co-production sphere. The company produces documentaries as well as fiction films. The most recent productions are the documentary John the Baptist, 60 min, 2015, Russia (in post-production) and the feature film Kharms, 90 min, Russia-Macedonia, a joint project with Proline Film (pre-production).

St. Petersburg (Leningrad) Documentary Film Studios is Russia’s oldest state docu-mentary studios, having been founded in 1918. Hundreds of films, covering every aspect of Russian and foreign history in the 20th Century, have been created on the Studio chronics. Today the Studio is one of the largest producers of documentaries, chronicles and film annals in Russia.

The Studios has worked with Oy Yleisradio Ab (Finland), Deutche Welle and ZDF (Germany) (with ZDF the Studios produced the first Russian-German documentary series of films under the general title «Be Cursed, War» which was an examination of the Second World War), the BBC and Channel 4 (Great Britain).

“Center of National Film” is a giant corporation was created, specializing in the cre-ation of popular science, documentary, educational and corporate films with territo-rial clusters in Moscow and St. Petersburg. The company continues and develops the best traditions of the Soviet film school, actively introducing advanced technologies and techniques of film production and media influence.

Movies of CNF Studio appeal to a wide audience of all ages and interests in Russia and foreign countries, as evidenced not only by numerous awards at international festivals, but also by constant attention of foreign partners to our activity.

“Ostrov Studio” is an independent production company founded by Sergey Mirsosh-nichenko (7 Up. Born in USSR series, Unknown Putin) and his colleagues in 1999.

Since 2006 Ostrov Studio programs and organizes documentary sections within the Moscow International Film festival. Since 2010 company produces weekly tv-slot for creative documentaries “Watching and Discussing” at TV Rossia-K (Kultura)

“Pervoe Kino”, was founded in 2001 by two young moviemakers – Evgeny Grigoryev & Artem Plolsaty. The main specialization of the company is creation & production of documentary projects – films & cross-media, as well as work in related genres – documentary theater, television, Internet video, music video industry.

Moscow based film production company TAU PICTURES was founded in 2010 with a main goal to make international co-productions. The last film produced by the com-pany is the feature film ‘’I’M GOING TO CHANGE MY NAME’’, written and directed by Maria Saakyan (co-production: Armenia/ Russia/Denmark/ Germany). Currently TAU PICTURES has two documentaries in development and one in post-production.

Since 2005 Ethnogeographic Research Foundation (Ethnofund) has produced more than 20 documentaries (most of them with Russian State support), that are broadcasted on Russian TV channels. Ethnofund has won a number of prizes and diplomas at different IFFs.

Starting from 2010 Ethnofund is looking for foreign partners and works with international co-productions. Company’s goal is to bring Russian directors and Rus-sian stories to international TV and film market.

Vita Aktiva specializes in film production (feature, documentary, shorts). The compa-ny makes successful foreign co-productions (Germany, France, Serbia, Brazil). Works with Russian and European film funds and markets. Films participate in major Euro-pean festivals (Cannes, Karlovy Vary, Locarno, Leipzig).

Marina Razbezhkina Studio is a production company, it was created by Marina Raz-bezhkina, a film director, a screenwriter, a producer, a member of the European Film Academy, of the Nika Russian Cinematographic Art Academy, of the Guild of Docu-mentary Cinema and TV, of the Guild of Russian film directors, of Kinosoyuz. Marina Razbezhkina has also been the founder of the Documentary Film and Theatre School, a close collaborator of the Marina Razbezhkina Studio.

DOKer was created 4 years ago to bring wonderful independent documentary films from all over the world to the Russian audience and provide a discussion platform for authors, experts and spectators. DOKer has already seen 8 seasons in 6 major cities located in central Russia (Moscow, Yaroslavl, Saint Petersburg), Ural (Yekaterinburg), Caucasus (Vladikavkaz) and Siberia (Krasnoyarsk) with more than 300 screenings for over 30,000 viewers.

Watching and Discussing Show (Smotrim...Obsughdaem...) - is a weekly prime time talk show, the only one to broadcast creative, feature length documentaries in Rus-sia at TV Kultura (Rossia-K) basic broadcasting channel. The films (52 minutes to 2 hours) are followed by 39 minutes in-studio discussion moderated by Vladimir Khoti-nenko. Starting from 2010, over 100 documentaries were screened in the show.

24_DOC – the 24/7 TV channel of world’s best documentaries. ARTDOCFEST

It is the largest festival of documentary films in Russia. Russian-language films that have been shot at any location of the world and not earlier than 18 months before the beginning of the Festival can take part in the competition program and noncompetition program “Sreda”. Only films that have not been shown publicly on the territory of Rus-sia before the “Artdocfest” can participate in the Festival. Every year the registration deadline is September 10th. The Festival is held annually in the beginning of December. “Artdocfest” also has non-competition retrospective programs and special screenings that include films shot in foreign languages. These programs are organized by program directorate and the terms are specified with copyright holders on an individual basis.

Beat Film Festival is the largest international documentary festival with a focus on music and modern culture in Eastern Europe, a vibrant mix of film screenings, parties, special events and talks on crossing borders with multimedia, contemporary art, interactive video, etc. It runs in Moscow and has a regional extension that takes place in 15 cities across Russia. 2015 dates: May 28 — June 7.

Contemporary Science Film Festival was founded in 2011 by Polytechnic Museum and its partners. The Festival takes place in October in Moscow and travels around the country during the year. For the international competition the Festival looks for feature-length documentaries about science, scientific activity, real and potential subjects of scientific research.

The festival competition program includes documentaries that develop the cinema-tography aesthetics first introduced by Robert Flaherty in his masterpiece “Nanook of the North”. The festival program also includes Russian documentaries competition “Russian Flahertiana” as well as various workshops and special programs investigat-ing different social and humanitarian issues. IDFF Flahertiana-2015 will take place in Perm in September 18-24, 2014.

The International Science Film Festival World of Knowledge was organyzed by Len-nauchfilm studio and the Centre of National Film studio in February 2006.

The festival program includes the regular International Competition and the Special program and usually take place in Sankt-Peterburg in the late of October every year. Popular science and education films produced in two previous years are accepted for the International Competition of the festival. International Documentary, Short, and Animated Film Festival Message to Man is held annually in St. Petersburg. The Festival was founded in 1989 in Leningrad. Registered by FIAPF. The XXV Message to Man will take place on 19-26 September 2015 in St. Peters-burg, Russia. The entry call is open till May 31.

Documentary programs of the MIFF include competition program (up to 7 films) aimed to reach wide theatrical audience. The winner is awarded by Silver Statue of St. George.

“Free thought” is an out-of-competition program, dedicated to the world best films of the year - winners of the film festivals, leaders of box office, new works by great masters.

The festival has been held since 2004. Saratov Sufferings, it is a competition of doc-umentary films, competition of amateur and experimental films, cinema panorama, out-of-competition screenings, special programs, master classes.

Conditions of participation: To participate in the competition the authors should send us documentaries, shoot-

ed on film or video in the period from June 2014 till July 2015 which correspond to the melodramatic genre: • documentaries, full-length and short; • documentaries shooted for TV; • amateur documentaries, shooted on film, video or made with the computer graphics.

The Stalker International Film Festival is aimed at raising awareness of human rights issues and legal consciousness of Russian society through cinema. Stalker Festival is a non-political and non-profit event.The Festival is held annually in Moscow and traditionally opens on December 10th, when adoption of the “Universal Declaration of Human Rights”by the UN is commemorated throughout the world.The name of the Festival is based on the human values which were advocated in the film- mercy, love to one’s neighbor, personal responsibility of a human being vis-a-vis society.
