was launched by Mr. V.Murugesan, ITS, Deputy Director General of Foreign Trade, Chennai. This is a very important step for our Foundation as we intensify our focus on Micro Enterprises.

Celebrating Gandhi Jayanthi in 50 Villages in TamilNadu and Puducherry is a novel idea that our Foundation will implement on 2nd October, 2015.The objective of the celebration is to ensure that the villages came forward as a unit to solve their own problems and help their own growth.

Foundation celebrates Gandhi Jyanthi in 50 villages of Tamilnadu & Puducherry on 2nd Oct 2015. The Foundation had a Mock Show before the

Gandhi Jayanthi celebration in 50 Villages. Mock Show conducted at Thakkar Bapa Vidyalaya, T.Nagar on 15th Sep 2015. V.K.Sthanunathan, Honorary Secretary, Thakkar Bapa Vidyalaya, Pandiyan, Chairman, Gandhi Study Centre, P.Maruthi, Secretary, Thakkar Bapa Vidyalaya, K.Mohan, Chairman,Gandhi Study Centre Dr.Prema Annamalai, Research Coordinator, Gandhi Study Centre, D.V.Venkatagiri, Secretary, Puthiya Thalaimurai Foundation, Foundation Staff, Students from Ramakrishna Mission Home, Mylapore & Thakkar Bapa Vidyalaya, participated in the celebration. A Short Quiz Competition was conducted for students about Gandhiji.

Somampatti Village is located 30Kms from Salem District. About 300 Families are there in the

Village in which Daily wages and Agriculture are the main livelihood. “Puthiya Thalaimurai Foundation is running Rural Tuition Centre in the Village. Working as a Volunteer Teacher in Tuition centre is a great opportunity. I help to improve the student's academic performance by teaching school lessons daily. Encourage and Motivate the students by doing extra activities in weekends and maintain complete and accurate files regarding the student's and their academic performance, Nearly 45 students are studying in this centre.I feel very proud to be a part of Foundation’s Rural Tuition Centre Project”, says V.Selvi, Somampatti Village.
