715 Health CheckA comprehensive health assessment for Indigenous school children and adults. I found that compared to other practices, there were more mental health and dental issues, and lifestyle factors such as smoking and alcohol were very prevalent in the Indigenous community. It was eye-opening, and helped me understand the value of preventative medicine and regular screening checks

Great food, great company.. We steadily worked through the Trip Advisor recommendations!

WARWICK HOSPITAL

I really enjoyed working in the Emergency Department at Warwick Hospital the doctors were fantastic and we got hands on experience with suturing and cannulations!

Surgery Rotation

Scrubbed up and ready for a caesarian section! It was an amazing opportunity to get into the operating theatre and watch the surgeons at work. We also got the chance to help out with anaesthetising the patient, which was great!

Phlebotomy Michelle from Pathology

I got a lot of practice with venipuncture using vacutainers, syringes and the butterfly technique, which was fantastic! The staff were so willing to teach and help me learn

The Griffith University student accommodation is just behind the hospital so it was really convenient! Pictionary night third years vs. second years (we lost!)

Thank you!!!Id just like to say thank you so much to QRME for giving me the opportunity to take part in this rural clinical placement it was a fantastic experience and I would definitely recommend it to all second year medical students
