Cinematography and mise en scene The cinematography and mise en scene follows a distinguishable theme throughout the video which gives an atmospheric tone to the song. The music video is filled with silhouettes, shadows and overall darkness. This gives a sense of mystery that captivates the audience from the start and allows the story to coincide with the song. This also allows the video to focus more on the nightlife, the vibrant city and the vibrant character found within it. This bring colourful edge to the mystery that already clouds the music video and draws the attention of the audience. This is then finished with a simple romance that connects the characters and the audience to the story.

Camerawork and editing The editing varies in speed, this is because it fits along with the music and the pace in which it changes. For example the song starts to build the editing is slow a steady but as it reaches the drop the speed of the editing increases to match the hype of the song. The camera work is similar to this in that during the build-up the camera focusing of the character more to express the story and emotions behind the music video. Once the song reaches the drop and the hype starts the shots focus on the environment and city to coincide with the liveliness of the song.

Lyrics and their meaningThe first few lyrics of the song are “Think I can fly”, this sets the mood of the song and the overall feel throughout. These lyrics immediately sets the idea that being free and freedom will dominate the song. The second line of lyrics then elaborates on the first and clarifies what other factors will contribute to the mood of the song. The second line reads “think I can fly when I'm with U”, this sets the mood to a more romantic one which coincides with the idea of freedom. Two lines of lyrics echo throughout the song they are “I wanna runaway” and “Just U and I”. These two lines sum up the whole song and the message that it tries to get across, which is that this lover doesn’t want all the stress and worries of their life, and so they want to escape from it with their other half. The rest of the lyrics in the song follow this theme as this person expresses their urgency to get out of the repeat of everyday life and move on with this unknown.
